This week Latvian road to Tel-Aviv starts with the first semi-final of SUPERNOVA2 2019 hosted by Dagmara Legante and Ketija Šenberga
In an earlier round, out of 83 songs submitted, 33 acts invited for an auditions round revealed for the public decision and 16 songs were chosen to qualify for the next round. Now, those 16 allocated into two semi-finals.
8 songs will participate on Saturday 11st semi-final. these are:
- P 19 LV – SF1 – 01 – Samanta Tīna – Cutting The Wire
- P 19 LV – SF1 – 02 – Edgars Kreilis – Cherry Absinthe
- P 19 LV – SF1 – 03 – Elza Rozentāl – You Came On Tiptoe
- P 19 LV – SF1 – 04 – Aivo Oskis – Somebody’s Got My Lover
- P 19 LV – SF1 – 05 – Alekss Silvērs – Fireworks
- P 19 LV – SF1 – 06 – Līga Rīdere – Būšu Tepat
- P 19 LV – SF1 – 07 – Kris & Oz – Midnight Streets
- P 19 LV – SF1 – 08 – Laime Pilnīga – AWE
The top4 from each semi will qualify for the final that will take place on February 16th, 2019. the votes will be a combination 50 of televoting and an expert jury. LTV also revealed that the jury members are:
- Singer Linda Leen that participate in supernova 2017 and reached the semifinals round.
- Ralfs Eilands from the group PeR represented Latvia in 2013
- Latvian Radio 5 Editor DJ Rudd
- and Artis Dvarionas from Radio SWH
