Tonight, Rai, the Italian broadcast, held the grand final of Festival di Sanremo 2019.
A total of 24 acts performed their entries a few times through the 5 nights show ended tonight on the “Teatro Ariston” of Sanremo hosted by Claudio Baglioni, Claudio Bisio, and Virginia Raffaele.
Tonight’s vote determined by 30% Press jury voting, 20% expert jury voting, and 50% televoting. after all the songs performed, the jury full rank was revealed and a super final televote opened to chose the winner among the top3.

As the televote was closed, Mahmood was announced as Sanremo 2019 winner. as for Sanremo rules, Mahmood now offered the chance to represent Italy in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest and an official statement will be announced soon.
Mahmood joined the lineup after winning the young version of Sanremo “Sanremo Giovani”.
