With only a few more days left for the confirmation deadline, Bulgaria has decided to surprise the fans worldwide and announce its return to Eurovision in 2020.
After the country’s successful scores in 2016, 2017 and 2018 including two top5. last year Bulgaria has decided to withdraw from the 2019 contest due to financial reasons.

BNT, the Bulgarian broadcaster will be able to return to the contest due to sponsor assistance that besides the fee for the EBU will also pay for the song production, music video, staging, and the delegation trip costs.
The Bulgarian artist for Rotterdam will be announced on November 25th, 2020.
The last time Bulgarian participated in the contest was in 2018. the band “Equinox” represented the country in Lisbon was succeeded to qualify for the final and ranked 14th in the final.
