Azerbaijani broadcaster iTV confirmed to Eurovision website ESCTODAY that Azerbaijan will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.Its still unclear in what way the Azerbaijan will select their entry but its expected that they going with internal selection that all latest Azerbaijan entries since 2015 was selected through internal selection.
Last time Azerbaijan selected their entry with national selection was in 2014 where the Dilara Kzimova won ”Böyük Səhnə”.In Eurovision 2014 Dilara sang ”Start a Fire”.
Efendi represented Azerbaijan at Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with song ”Mata Hari”.
