Selecting the qualifiers were the regional juries and the televoting with a 50/50 rate.
The 5 Qualifiers are:

On Monday, March 7, 2022, the second semi final of Festival da Canção 2022 will take place and the next group of 10 acts will battle for the last 5 tickets to final. The Portuguese entry will be selected on the grand final next Saturday March 12, 2022.
At Eurovision:
Portugal will participate in the 2nd half of Semi-final 1 that will take place on May 10, 2022
