Montenegrin broadcaster RTCG has released an official document summarizing a discussion regarding the draft program production plans for 2024.
Several different topics were discussed, including entertainment and music programs.
The participants in the discussion asked the following questions:
- Will RTCG organize any local competition, allowing artists to get exposure and reveal their songs?
- Would RTCG consider organizing The Winter Festival or any other festival like Montevizija, and Montefon?
- Will RTCG compete in the Eurovision Song Contest, and if so, would this be made through a national selection show?
- Will RTCG intend to broadcast Eurovision 2024 and Junior Eurovision 2024?
In response, RTCG released the following statement:
- RTCG intends to broadcast both Eurovision 2024 and Junior Eurovision 2024, as long as the budget allows it.
- RTCG is considering organizing a music festival where new songs will be performed by local artists. If RTCG finds a proper budget, this festival might be used as the selection process for Eurovision 2025
- RTCG will continue broadcasting the “Hit Galaksija” show, where local artists can showcase their talents. In this show, each candidate is able to perform his/her own songs, as well as covers. In addition, the shows “POP TOP” (featuring well-known artists) as well “Alternativni puls” are included in the plans for 2024.
Vladana represented Montenegro at Eurovision 2022 with the song “Breathe”.
She ended in the 17th place in semi-final 2 with a total of 33 points, and therefore didn’t qualify for the final:
