Slovenia is the 4th country to reveal its song for Eurovision 2024: Raiven was internally selected to represent the country with the song “Veronika“.

RTV SLO organized a special show “Misija Malmö“, where we were able to follow Raiven‘s journey into the music industry from her attempts at “EMA” (Slovenian national selection) to her experience in the opera scene.
Raiven performed several songs on the show, featuring some special guests.
She has also received messages from some of the former Slovenian artists at Eurovision.

The story of Veronika Deseniška and her supposed witchcraft are well known in Slovenia, and this song continues Raiven’s quest to explore the stories of iconic women from various historical eras;

The singer commented:

Representing Slovenia at Eurovision is a stepping stone I envision for my career’s progression. When I told my mother I was going to Eurovision, she said she knew I would be standing on that stage one day. She knew it since the first time we were watching this music spectacle together – I was five years old.’
