As revealed last week, San Marino will return to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
National broadcaster San Marino RTV gave more details about its plans for Junior Eurovision 2024.
During the “Sogna ragazzo sogna” event, it was revealed that the band SM Idols will carry the Sammarinese flag in Junior Eurovision 2024, held in Madrid.
The band comprises 4 young girls: Asia Ceccoli, Giulia Rinaldi, Giorgia Descisolo, and Vera Stefania Olkhovskaya. They are aged between 11 and 12 years old.
They performed 2 songs in front of the jury panel: “Poesia” and “Come noi”.
Ultimately, “Come noi” (Eng: Like Us) was selected as the country’s song for JESC 2024.
The song will be released in due course.
San Marino in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
To date, the country has participated 3 times in JESC (2013 – 2015)
Their highest score was 10th place, which was achieved in 2013
Their most recent JESC entry was “Mirror,” performed by Kamilla Ismailova
The 22nd edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, organized by the EBU, will take place in Madrid. Spain on 16 November 2024.
