Israeli broadcaster Kan has just revealed the news: The Israeli song for Eurovision 2025 will be revealed on Sunday, March 9th, 2025.
The song (with an official video) will premiere during a special show, which will be broadcast on that night.
Israel has selected its Eurovision 2025 artist via “Hakohav Haba La’Eurovision 2025” (The Rising Star for Eurovision 2025).
The winner is Yuval Raphael, a 24 year0old emerging singer.
Israel’s Song Selection For Eurovision 2025
- The submission window closed on the 2nd of February, 2025.
- The song will be selected by a professional committee. The decision will be made around the end of February 2025.
- The professional committee will consist of 7 members
- The selection will include 2 phases. Between 3 and 5 songs will qualify for the second phase, where the jury will vote again.
- The song premiere will take place at the beginning of March 2025, in a special show in Kan
- Kan and Keshet 12 have approached around 120 known composers and songwriters, inviting them to submit a song.
- More than 50 song writers accepted the invitation and sent at last one entry.
- Each songwriter/composer can submit up to 3 different songs.
- For each submission, all writers must hold Israeli citizenship, with an exception of one.
- There are no language restrictions, but each song must include at least 2 lines in Hebrew
Israel will compete in the second half of semi-final 2.
Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th and 17th of May 2025
