Malta began its journey to Basel tonight with the first semi-final of MESC 2025″. Hosting the show were Pauline Agius, Valentina Rossi and Davide Tucci and and performing tonight by the running order were these 12 acts:

- Kristy Spiteri – Heaven Sent
- Matthew Cilia – Control
- Maria Claire – Wildflower
- Justin Shofrid – Still I Rise
- JVF (Jessika, Victoria Gauci, Fabrizio Faniello) – Festa (No Time For Siesta)
- Adria Twins – Qalb ma’ Qalb
- Haley Azzopardi – Whistleblower
- Victoria Sciberras – Juno

During the interval acts of the show and right before we got the results the fans received a boost of Eurovision vibes with guest performances of fans favorite faces such as Brooke, Mihai (Romania 2006) and the first peak at Adonxs Czech entry for the Eurovision 202 5″Kiss Kiss Goodbye”

Tonight’s results were a combination of 50/50 jury and the public. 8 of the 12 acts have made it to the grand final that will take place February 8th 2025.

On Thursday, February 6th, 2025, The second group of 12 acts will tale the stage where the 8 other qualifiers will complete the grand final lineup.
At the Eurovision 2025, Malta was drawn to compete in the second half of semi-final 2.
Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland, on the 13th, 15th, and 17th of May 2025
