Austria wins the 69th Eurovision Song Contest with the song Wasted Love by JJ

The grand final of Eurovision 2025 in Basel has just ended.
26 countries participated in the final, performing in the following running order:

The Jury

The voting sequence started with 37 jury panels revealing their top 10 entries.
Each country was represented by 5 5-member national jury.
The first jury panel to reveal its votes was Sweden (last year’s host), and the last one was Switzerland (the current host).

Leading the chart after the jury awarded their points was JJ with the song Waisted Love, representing Austria

Adding the public votes on top, the overall leader stays the same, the public and the national think the same. In total JJ collected 436 points, which is the highest of the night and Therefore, the Eurovision is heading to Austria. finish 2nd and so close to win the whole thing was Israel’s Yuval Rephael and her amazing ballad “New Day Will Rise”

This is Austria’s 3rd Eurovision victory. The first was in “Merci, Chérie” sung by Udo Jürgens in 1966, and the most recent and more memorable was in 2014 when Conchita Wurst won with her iconic “Rise Like a Phoenix.”
