Denmark will choose an artist and a song for Eurovision 2026 via their traditional national selection, “Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2026”
First of all, DR announced the show’s hosts: Sara Bro and Alex Høgh Andersen.
Sara will host the show for the third year in a row, while Alex will have his debut as a host.

- The selection will feature one show only (The final), which will be held on Saturday, February 14th, 2026.
- The final will take place at Arena Nord in Frederikshavn.
- Sara Bro and Alex Høgh Andersen will host the show.
- 8 artists will be shortlisted to participate in the selection.
- The results of the show will be based on a 50% public vote and a 50% jury vote. Half of the jury will be Danish, and the other half from abroad.
- The jury members will have experience in the music industry, as well as a connection to the “Dansk Melodi Grand Prix” and Eurovision.
- Some of the artists have already been selected.
- The list of finalists and their songs will probably be revealed during the second half of January 2026.
- The selection committee will feature music experts, as well as a focus group of Danish Eurovision fans.
- DR aims to run a modern and innovative show, with the glory of Eurovision. The first step was to come with a new branding and logo.
- DR will dedicate time and resources for creating the full package for each candidate: The artist, the song, the performance, and the staging.
Sissal represented Denmark in Eurovision 2025
She performed “Hallucination” and ended in 23rd place.
Eurovision 2026 will be held in Vienna, Austria, on May 12th, 14th, and 16th, 2026.
