Eurovision 2026 Grand Final Predictions

The grand final of Eurovision 2026 will be held on Saturday, May 16th, at 21:00 CET.
25 countries will compete for the 70th Eurovision tropy
In this article, we will try to predict the grand final results

The running order will go as follows:

1. 🇩🇰 Denmark: Søren Torpegaard Lund – Før Vi Går Hjem

• It is a nostalgic, guitar-driven electro-pop anthem performed in Danish.
• The performance will bring to life the nightclub experience, with special props looking like an aquarium box.
• It is one of the refreshing episodes of the show, with modern production.
• Søren feels very comfortable on stage and can easily be seen.
• Relying on the YouTube views, it seems the public support will be lower than expected. Adding on top, he was allocated to perform first, which won’t help a lot here.
• However, I can see Denmark in the top 7 of the jury vote.
• Prediction: 6 – 11

2. 🇩🇪 Germany: Sarah Engels – Fire

• It is a dance-pop song.
• The performance is built around a large cube prop. Sarah starts the performance lying down on this cube, with the camera angles above.
• Sarah delivered a really powerful performance with accurate vocals, while moving and dancing.
• However, Germany usually struggles to do well. In addition, the allocation in the 2nd slot might even damage its chances more than expected
• Prediction: 17 – 23

3. 🇮🇱 Israel: Noam Bettan –  Michelle

• It is a moody, trilingual “Drama-Pop” mid-tempo pop song.
• Noam will be accompanied by 5 female dancers, with a big diamond prop presented on the stage.
• Noam will stand out with his raspy, powerful voice.
• The song is quite dynamic, combining 3 languages, with a repetitive and effective chorus.
• As in previous years, we can expect thoughtful staging concept.
• However, the performance might be interrupted by audience booing.
• The political climate might once again lead to significant gaps between the public and the jury votes.
• Prediction: 3 – 7 (but probably top 5)

4. 🇧🇪 Belgium: ESSYLA – Dancing on the Ice

• It is a sophisticated, Scandi-electronic art-pop track performed in English.
• The song is radio-friendly, and for the first time in years, Belgium has managed to come with a solid staging.
• However, I am afraid the song won’t resonate strongly enough with the public.
• In addition, I am afraid that, as sweet and humble as Essyla is, she lacks some stage presence and charisma.
• It seems the song will get a small number of points from the public, with a kind of mediocre ranking of jury.
• Prediction: 19 – 25

5.. 🇦🇱 Albania: Alis – Nân

• It is a dramatic ballad.
• The backdrop LED video presents many women behind him. They symbolize Albanian women and mothers; some of them are wearing traditional Albanian costumes.
• The English subtitles will really help translate the message to the general public.
• Alis is one of the best vocalists this year, and it feels like he is fully connected to the topic.
• I can see it grabbing points from both the jury and the public.
• The mother-child topic will be well embraced by the public, while the jury will praise the vocals,
• Prediction: 13 – 18

6.🇬🇷 Greece: Akylas – Ferto

• It is a chaotic, “techno-folk” song with rap elements.
• Overall, Akylas uses his voice to navigate between madness and sincerity, creating a “drama-techno” moment. The song suggests some uniqueness, and it is quite entertaining. In some parts, I feel like the song is a bit too engineered to the Eurovision funny entry formula (Käärijä, Baby Lasagna, etc).
• It is made of the material of songs which has done really well in recent years. However, it won’t necessarily be the same with the jury votes.
• The staging will serve as an arcade video game with backing dancers, some props and colorful graphics.
• The staging concept is very engaging.
• I must be honest: The jury show performance wasn’t as good as in the semi-final.
• Prediction: 3 -7

7. 🇺🇦 Ukraine: LELÉKA – Ridnym

• It is a delicate, emotionally raw folk-jazz ballad.
• LELÉKA proves that simple is beautiful. While the staging is based on quite a limited budget, it still succeeds in creating a moment.
• The song probably suggests a greater jury appeal, but Ukraine has proved it is one of the public vote magnets in recent years.
  LELÉKA brings an intelligent and classic performance, with delicate vocals.
• However, LELÉKA‘s voice wasn’t perfect, including the peak point. I am not sure the staging clicks right with the concept.
• Prediction: 7 – 12

8. 🇦🇺 Australia: Delta Goodrem – Eclipse

• It is a cinematic ballad with Epic Orchestral Pop elements.
• Delta is one of the promising and stable performers of this semi-final.
• The staging is somehow a fusion of Disney theme, Eurovision classic, and very much Diva-coded.
• The global theme will help it push through.
• At this point, I can see it as a contender to win the jury vote. The staging and the vocal performance showcase extreme professionalism.
• Prediction: 1 – 5 (potential jury winner)

9.🇷🇸 Serbia: LAVINA – Kraj mene

• It is a dark, atmospheric alt-pop piece infused with Balkan influences, but now clearly layered with industrial and metal elements that give it a far more aggressive edge.
• The performance it dark and mysterious.
• Luke, the lead singer, will interact with the camera, and will sing in growling towards the end.
• The history made us learn the bold rock and metal songs can do pretty well in the contest, usually making the genre fans, picking their phones and vote for them.
• Serbia will probably get more public vote support, especially from the metal/rock music lovers. Regardless, I can see the Yugoslavian and diaspora countries supporting this one: Montenegro, Croatia, Austria, Switzerland, and more.
• It chance might be reduced to 2 factors: Performing right after Australia, as well as being cancelled by other rock songs coming later in the show: Norway and Romania.
• Prediction: 14 – 19

10. 🇲🇹 Malta: AIDAN – Bella

• It’s a high-gloss cinematic ballad with Mediterranean pop production and Latin influences.
• It is one of the entries that made it really hard to predict.
• The song conveys a romantic atmosphere.
• On one hand, the staging (in the national final) brought a beautiful vision to the performance. On the other hand, the modifications that were brought to Vienna didn’t really upgrade it.
• Malta usually enjoys from solid jury vote, but quite limited public support. This is clearly a more jury-appealing song.
• Somehow, in the sequence of the song, I am not impressed by this one as much as I wanted.
• Aidan runs considerable voting campaigns, will it help him somehow?
• Prediction: 12 – 18

11. 🇨🇿 Czechia: Daniel Žižka –Crossroads

• It is an atmospheric, cinematic art-pop ballad. The song is a sophisticated, slow-burning indie ballad, and it takes time to connect to it.
• Daniel conveys one of the best male vocals this year. Personally, it is one of my favorite ballads this year.
• The staging itself is quite raw and simple, featuring mirrors. In particular, France and Armenia that follow with greater staging plans.
• I can see this and Malta cancelling each other, as both of them are male ballads.
• It seems that the song will get much more support from the jury. However, it isn’t a typical song to conquer the public votes. I can see in bottom 10 of the public vote, while scoring left side with the jury.
• Prediction: 11- 15

12.🇧🇬 Bulgaria: DARA – Bangaranga

• It is a high-octane, “Balkan-Trap-Pop” anthem.
• Dara is charismatic and manages to remain stable vocally while executing choreography.
• It is one of the memorable bops of the year (if not the best) that people will remember for sure.
• Bulgaria set up a great staging show, lifting the arena properly. The stage concept works really well.
• I can see it doing top 10 with the public vote, but lower with the jury.
• Prediction: 6 -10

13.🇭🇷 Croatia: LELEK – ANDROMEDA

• It is a heavy, ethno-industrial anthem that blends ancient Balkan folklore with aggressive modern production.
• The performance relies on strong visual moments, most of them based on the chemistry between the band members and the video effects.
• It brings drama combined with folk, two deliverables that have been well appreciated in the past.
• I think the jury will appreciate their vocals and storytelling. They will also get some support from the Balkan countries.
• I can see Serbia and Montenegro ranking this in their top 3, as well as Moldova and Greece, which would grant some points.
• They continue the sequence of sisterhood entries, like Czechia 2023 an Latvia 2025, both of them have done quite good.
• Prediction: 11- 15

14. 🇬🇧 UK: LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER – Eins, Zwei, Drei

• It is a quirky, electro-synth punk experimental pop song.
• The performance starts promising: We will see 12 tables on stage, which will be flopped, rotated, and moved along the performance. He will be accompanied on stage by 4 dancers who are wearing a turquoise two-parts suits
• However, towards the end, it becomes very messy and shouty. He is trying to excite the audience.
• This time, I am afraid the jury will score it very low (and not only the public)
• Prediction: 20 – 25

15. 🇫🇷 France: Monroe – Regarde!

• It is a cinematic, “Operatic Pop” epic that bridges the gap between the Grand Palais and the modern dance floor.
• Over time, it has been predicted to finish 2nd in the odds, but now it is around 9th place.
• Staging wisely, it doesn’t feel as epic as I wanted it to be.
• I think the heavy-opera oriented (unlike Austria 2025 and Switzerland 2024) usually don’t reach the top chart.
• I can see her getting the majority of points rom the jury, with around 40-80 points from the public.
• Prediction: 7-12 (I can even see it finishing similarly to Estonia 2018: 8th place)

16. 🇲🇩 Moldova: Satoshi – Viva, Moldova

• Moldova plays the national anthem card this year, with wide influences of folk music.
• It is a pulsing, arena-rock, and hip-hop song with rap elements.
• In the past, such songs have performed really well in the public vote, and it won’t be any different this year.
• The performance will deliver fun and celebration, with 2 female backing singers and 3 backing dancers.
• However, I am not sure it will do that well with the jury.
• Moldova will probably get the support of some of the Balkan/Eastern/diaspora countries: Romania, Ukraine, Greece, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Georgia, Lithuania, Armenia, Israel, and Azerbaijan.
• I can see it doing very well in the public vote.
• Prediction: 6-10

17.🇫🇮 Finland: Linda Lampenius x Pete Parkkonen – Liekinheitin

• It is a grand, symphonic-rock song that blends stadium rock with classical violin.
• The staging serves the drama and the title (flame thrower) by a wooden confessional box, with dramatic lights, as well as flames, overturned chairs, and sheet-music stands of what looks like an orchestra area.
• This is a “heavyweight” entry. It feels expensive, professional, and very Eurovision-right. The combination of Pete’s charisma and Linda’s legendary status makes this the one to beat. 
• Currently, Finland leads the odds to win Eurovision 2026.
• I can see doing quite well in both the jury vote and public vote, but not winning neither of them,
• Prediction: 1- 4 (Potential winner)

18.🇵🇱 Poland: ALICJA – Pray

• It is a sophisticated R&B-Gospel track with heavy contemporary trap production and some rap parts.
• Similarly to Lithuania, Poland usually enjoys diaspora voting, which will be limited in this semi-final.
• ALICJA is one of the most powerful vocalists this year, and will deliver for sure.
• However, I am not sure the song will hit waves in the public vote. The fusion of different genres might confuse some people. Let’s not forget that Gospel music isn’t well respected in Eurovision.
• I can see the jury appreciating it, but the problem is that the jury usually doesn’t for Poland.
• The considerably late allocation might push it a bit higher. On the other hand, its chances might reduce due to being allocated just after Moldova and Finland.
• Prediction: 16-20

19.🇱🇹 Lithuania: Lion Ceccah – Sólo Quiero Más

• It is a dark, experimental alt-pop track that blends industrial electronics with an avant-garde linguistic fusion and some light opera influences.
• It is visually different (who else will paint himself silver?) and, sonically, therefore has a better chance of being remembered.
• Lithuania usually enjoys diaspora and friendly voting, but it seems those will be limited this time: Ireland doesn’t participate this year. However, they will get the support of Latvia, Poland, Germany, Estonia, the UK, and more
• The performance is Eurovision-ready and will feature a bold prop: A costume installation created especially for the performance, which dramatically falls apart right on stage.
• In theory, the jury should support it. However, the vocal performance isn’t stable.
• I am a bit nervous about this one, as being too artistic or due to “over-powerful/pushing” vocals.
• Prediction: 17-21

20. 🇸🇪 Sweden: FELICIA –  My System

• Felicia will represent Sweden this year with an EDM club song.
• It is a high-octane, “ecclesiastical” dance anthem that channels the high-energy spirit of Cascada and modern Norwegian pop. 
• The song will stand out due to its beat and flow, as well as the electrifying performance.
• However, the song has lost traction recently.
• Felicia has been ill in the last few days, and it has impacted her singing.
• Having said this, the running order is quite good and can lift it a bit.
• Sweden will probably get the majority of votes from Western and Nordic countries.
• Sadly, I think it might be one of Sweden’s lowest scores (maybe besides 2021).
• Prediction: 10-15

21. 🇨🇾 Cyprus: Antigoni – Jalla

• It is a maximalist, high-energy “Ethno-Pop” song.
• The staging concept is festive: The main prop is a very large table; there are some chairs on it as well. The Cypriot team will walk along the table and perform some choreography on it. The table has some plates on it, delivering a Greek tavern in its realness.
• Antigoni hasn’t performed well in rehearsals, with shaky vocals and less energy.
• On the one hand, it is unique that the view of the semi-final features not a few ballads and rock songs. On the other hand, entries like Bulgaria and Denmark (which are also upbeat) will make look much more questionable.
• I can see Balkan and South/Eastern countries voting for this one: Greece, Azerbaijan, Albania, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Croatia, Montenegro, Armenia, and more.
• It will probably do better with the public, rather the jury
• Prediction: 12-17 (really depending on the vocals)

22. 🇮🇹 Italy: Sal Da Vinci – Per sempre sì

• It is a timeless, “Neapolitan-Style Classical Ballad” that exudes warmth and romanticism, with strong 1980s influences.
• The performance brings the marriage ceremony to the frontline.
• The staging is a bit distracting, mostly drawing the focus to the actors/dancers. This is a planned strategy to add some younger generation appeal to this song.
• I can see the older part of the public voters coming for this one.
• Don’t you ever doubt Italy’s ability to end in the top 10!
• Prediction: 5-10

23. 🇳🇴 Norway: JONAS LOVV – YA YA YA

• It is a flamboyant, high-octane glam-pop-rock song.
• It is a sensual performance, and Jonas sells the song quite convincingly. I must say the “Melodi Grand Prix 2026” performance looked better, but it is still based on the same terms and concept.
• On one hand, it is allocated towards the end of the show, which might push it a bit.
• On the other hand, Jonas’ vocals aren’t precise, and it seems it might cost him some jury votes.
• Let’s not forget it comes just before another rock song (Romania) which suggests a much better package.
• Prediction: 15-19

24.🇷🇴 Romania: Alexandra Capitanescu – Choke Me

• It is a heavy, nu-metal-infused pop-rock track.
• The staging concept is really cool: One of the props is pipes lit in neon light, which Alexandra will hold attached to her. Those will be held by the band members on the other edge.
• It isn’t only a brilliant song, but song the right and accessible way to deliver a rock song.
• Alexandra’s vocals are as good as in the studio version.
• The late allocation makes it even more memorable.
• It might be one of Romania’s best efforts in the contest.
• Prediction: 4-8

25. 🇦🇹 Austria: COSMÓ – Tanzschein

• It is a dark, sophisticated “Industrial Electro-Pop” track that leans heavily into a gritty, nocturnal aesthetic.
• COSMÓ seems to enjoy being on stage, and the dance moves are catchy.
• The staging is kinda messy.
• While the song has quite a nice beat, I think it might be designed more for the local audience.
• For me, the chorus is much more memorable than the verses.
• Prediction: 22-25 (potential last place)

Final Thoughts

Overall, I can see a scenario of a compromise winner this year (similar to 2016 and 2019), where the overall winner didn’t win the public vote nor the jury vote.
