Swiss broadcaster SRG SSR has officially confirmed the country will take part in Eurovision 2027.
As every year since 2019, the national broadcaster will select the artist and song for Eurovision via a multi-stage internal selection.
The submission window will open on August 20th, 2026, and will close on September 7th, 2026.
The selection process will involve a national and international expert jury, as well as a panel of Eurovision fans. Similarly to the change in the composition of the Eurovision jury, some portion of the selection jury will be of the younger generation.
For the first time ever, the assessment process will also feature the use of AI-based analysis.
Songwriting camp will be arranged in the upcoming months and will take place both in Switzerland and outside.
The camps aim to connect Swiss songwriters, artists, and producers with international creatives, fostering collaboration and providing Swiss talent with greater access to global industry networks. Participation will be intentionally limited to maintain a focused and productive environment. Alongside selected invitations, an application process will be available, creating opportunities for emerging and previously undiscovered talent to become involved.
In addition, Pele Loriano concludes his role as the music manager of the Swiss delegation after 12 years.
Norwegian music producer Lasse Nymann will take his place. Previously, he was part on the team behind “The Code” by Nemo (who won Eurovision 2024)
Yves Schifferle, the Head of the Eurovision Delegation, commented:
Our goal remains unchanged. We want to find songs and artists that are internationally compelling and, at the same time, authentically represent Switzerland. To achieve this, we are continuously developing our processes – based on our experience, with new ideas and modern tools
