The first edition of Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026 is shaping up, as more countries selecting their acts for the debut. are
Laos is the 5th country to select its artist for the contest.
The national broadcaster VTE9 has internally selected the singer Thinla to carry the flag for its Eurovision Asia debut.
However, the audience will have a say in selecting the song she will perform in the contest:
- Thinla will perform 3 potential songs, in which the audience will select from
- The selection show “Sieng Lao: The One” will be held over 2 nights: On September 23rd and 24th
- The first night will be dedicated to the performances.
- On the second night, we will find out what the chosen song is.
- Both shows will start at 15:30 CEST (20:30 ICT).
- The voting will be held on the Eurovision Asia website
- The 3 songs will be released in the upcoming days.
