Sweden: Eurovision 2024 Core Team Revealed

Even though, Eurovision 2024 will be held in around 8 months, the Swedish broadcaster SVT keeps going with the preparations.

An integral part of brining the vision into life will be depend on the people in charge of the contest.
That’s why the full line-up of Eurovision 2024 core team revealed today.

Christer Björkman 

Björkman is an established Swedish producer. He is well known for being the producer of the Swedish national selection “Melodifestivalen”. Over the years, he has helped design the “Melodifestivalen” (as well as the Eurovision Song Contest) for its current modern shape.
Christer was the show’s producer and the contest producer at The Eurovision Song Contest, espescailly in 2016 and 2019 (2 recent Eurovision to be hosted by Sweden).
However, he has also supported Eurovision editions that have been held outside of Sweden.
In addition, he was one of the co-founders and format creator for the “American Song Contest” in 2022.

Some of us may also recognize him as Sweden‘s representative for Eurovision 1992, performing the song “I morgon är en annan dag”

Björkman reacted:

Eurovision’s values are more important than ever, where diversity and community are the foundation. Therefore, I am extremely proud to once again be one of the producers for this event –  it was impossible to say no

Per Blankens 

Per worked for SVT as the producer of “Melodifestivalen” in 2006 and 2007.
In general, he produced many musical shows such as: “Swedish Idol”, “The Next” for China’s Dragon TV channel and “American Idol”.

Eurovision 2024 will be held in Malmö, Sweden.
The semi-final will be held on the 7th and 9th of May 2024, and the grand final will be held on the 11h of May 2024

So far, the following countries have confirmed participation in Eurovision 2024: Sweden, Norway, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Israel, Moldova, Estonia, Austria, Cyprus, Denmark, Spain, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Malta, Serbia, Switzerland, the UK, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Ukraine, Portugal, San Marino, Belgium, Albania, and Latvia.
