Even though, Eurovision 2024 will be held in around 8 months, the Swedish broadcaster SVT keeps going with the preparations.
An integral part of brining the vision into life will be depend on the people in charge of the contest.
That’s why the full line-up of Eurovision 2024 core team revealed today.
Christer Björkman
Björkman is an established Swedish producer. He is well known for being the producer of the Swedish national selection “Melodifestivalen”. Over the years, he has helped design the “Melodifestivalen” (as well as the Eurovision Song Contest) for its current modern shape.
Christer was the show’s producer and the contest producer at The Eurovision Song Contest, espescailly in 2016 and 2019 (2 recent Eurovision to be hosted by Sweden).
However, he has also supported Eurovision editions that have been held outside of Sweden.
In addition, he was one of the co-founders and format creator for the “American Song Contest” in 2022.
Some of us may also recognize him as Sweden‘s representative for Eurovision 1992, performing the song “I morgon är en annan dag”
Björkman reacted:

Per Blankens
Per worked for SVT as the producer of “Melodifestivalen” in 2006 and 2007.
In general, he produced many musical shows such as: “Swedish Idol”, “The Next” for China’s Dragon TV channel and “American Idol”.

- Ebba Adielsson – Executive Producer: Regularly, she acts as SVT head of Entertainment. She will be in charge of the contest, and therefore will carry the responsibility of the contest.
- Christel Tholse Willers – Executive Producer responsible for communication, press, brand, and Host City relations. She played the same role in 2013. In the past, she has been involved in “Melodifsetivalen”, especially as executive producer.
- Tobias Åberg – Executive in Charge of Production. Tobias was part of the core team in 2013 and 2016. Since 2016, he has been acting as Head of Production and a technical expert at The Eurovision Song Contest.
- Johan Bernhagen – Executive Line Producer. He will be in charge of the financial aspect, as well as supporting Tobias in technical production aspects.
- David Wessén – Head of Production: David will be in charge of technical production and derived logistics within the arena.
- Madeleine Sinding-Larsen – Head of Media: Madeleine will be in charge of communication and the connection to the press and media. She played the same role in Eurovision 2016, and has been part of the Swedish Eurovision delegation for years.
- Linnea Lopez – Executive Assistant. This is her official title at SVT, she has done the same in shows like “SOS Children’s Villages”.
- Mats Lindgren – Head of Legal. He was a lawyer for Eurovision in 2000, 2012 and 206.
Ebba Adielsson – Executive Producer commented:
I am very proud and excited about this extraordinary assignment and can finally present the first key roles and leadership of the core team that will lead Eurovision Song Contest 2024. It is impossible to find a more experienced trio in this context, and it feels extremely reassuring to have them on board in this gigantic and very complex production.
Eurovision 2024 will be held in Malmö, Sweden.
The semi-final will be held on the 7th and 9th of May 2024, and the grand final will be held on the 11h of May 2024
So far, the following countries have confirmed participation in Eurovision 2024: Sweden, Norway, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Israel, Moldova, Estonia, Austria, Cyprus, Denmark, Spain, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Malta, Serbia, Switzerland, the UK, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Ukraine, Portugal, San Marino, Belgium, Albania, and Latvia.
