Danish broadcaster DR confirms its participation in Eurovision 2027.
The country will stick to its traditional selection: “Dansk Melodi Grand Prix”.

- Submissions will be made online via the link https://bidra.nrk.no/mgp2027
- The submission window is already open and will close on October 25th, 2026.
- The submissions must include an audio version of the song, as well as a video of the artist performing the song.
- Either the composer, lyricist or performing artist must be a Danish citizen or have a correspondingly strong connection to Denmark. (Residence in Denmark for a long period of time, married or in a relationship with a Dane or similar).
- Residents of the Faroe Islands and Greenland will be allowed to submit a song.
- 8 songs will be shortlisted for the final.
- The song must be an original composition
- The song cannot be longer than 3 minutes.
- The song must not have been performed or released before September 1, 2026.
- The artist must be 18 years old by May 31st, 2027.
- Each producer/lyricist/composer can submit several songs.
- The song will be performed in a language of your choice at the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2027. The winning song will be performed in a language of your choice at the ESC semi-finals and final in 2027. The language will be chosen together with the DR.
Søren Torpegaard Lund represented Denmark in Eurovision 2026.
He performed “Ya Ya Ya” and finished 7th in the final
