Estonia: “Eesti Laul 2022” Semi-Final 1 – Results

Estonia held tonight the first semi-final of “Eesti Laul 2022” – the Estonian selection for Eurovision 2022.

10 artists participates in the first semi-final:

  1. ELYSA â€“ Fire [Public Qualifier, Quarter-Final 4]
  2. Helen â€“ Vaatu minu poole (Eng: Look at Me) [Public Qualifier, Quarter-Final 2]
  3. Andrei Zevakin feat. Grete Paia â€“ Mis nüüd saab (Eng:What Now?) [Public Qualifier, Quarter-Final 2]
  4. Alabama Watchdog â€“ Move On [Jury Qualifier, Quarter-Final 3]
  5. Merilin Mälk â€“ Little Girl [Jury Qualifier, Quarter-Final 2]
  6. Stig Rästa â€“ Interstellar [Public Qualifier, Quarter-Final 1]
  7. Triin Niitoja & Frants Tikerpuu â€“ Laululind (Eng: Songbird) [Public Qualifier, Quarter-Final 2]
  8. Kaia-Liisa Kesler â€“ Vaikus (Eng:Silence) [Jury Qualifier, Quarter-Final 2]
  9. Elina Nechayeva â€“ Remedy [Public Qualifier, Quarter-Final 3]
  10. Ott Lepland – Aovalguses (Eng: In The Light) [Public Qualifier, Quarter-Final 4]

2 of the candidates were tested positive for Covid 19: ELYSA and Merilin Mälk.
Therefore, we haven’t seen them giving live performances of their songs.

Instead, we watched once again the video clips that have been shown in the quarter-finals.

The hosts were Maarja-Liis Ilus & Priit Loog.
Maarja-Liis Ilus represented Estonia at Eurovision 1996 and 1997.

The results were split by 2 rounds

First Round – 10 competing artists


Relying on a system voting of 50% national jury and 50% public vote.
