Eurovision 2025: Käärijä and Baby Lasagna to Perform as Interval Acts

Swiss broadcaster SRG SSR has announced an additional interval act for the Eurovision 2025 show in Basel.
The newly announced artists are: Käärijä (Finland, Eurovision 2023) and Baby Lasagna (Croatia, Eurovision 2024). Both won the public vote and finished as the runners-up in their respective years

It is still unknown in which of the 3 shows they will perform

Earlier, it was revealed that 4 of the Eurovision 2020 acts will perform as special guests in Basel: Destiny (Malta), Efendi (Azerbaijan), The Roop (Lithuania), and Gjon’s Tears (Switzerland).

Previously, the theme of each show was revealed:

  1. Semi-Final 1 (Tuesday, May 13th) – Where It All Began – A special tribute to Switzerland, the country where Eurovision started and the one that one the first and the recent Eurovision.
  2. Semi-Final 2 (Thursday, May 15th) – Eurovision Fans – A special party to honor Eurovision fans, who support the contest, especially the ones who will attend Basel.
  3. Grand Final (Saturday, May 17th) – Eurovision Winners – On this night, a new Eurovision winner will be crowned. The show may feature past winners.

The Hosts

Hazel Brugger, Michelle Hunziker, and Sandra Studer will host the Eurovision 2025 shows.
Hazel and Sandra will host all 3 shows, and Michelle Hunziker will join on the final night.

Known Interval Acts So Far

Part of the interval acts have been revealed.
Semi-Final 1 opening act will feature 45 artists who will showcase different sides of Switzerland: From the traditional to the more modern.

In addition, several past Eurovision artists who represented Switzerland in the past will perform a medley of Swiss Eurovision entries:

  • Paola (Switzerland 1969 and 1980)
  • Peter, Sue & Marc (Switzerland 1971, 1976, 1979, and 1981)
  • Luca Hänni (Switzerland 2019)
  • Gjon’s Tears (Switzerland 2020 and 2021)
  • Nemo (Switzerland 2024)

More interval acts will be revealed in the upcoming days!

Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th, and 17th of May 2025.
