You Better “Like It”! Belarus Chosen ZENA For Eurovision 2019

The Belarusian broadcast BTRC held tonight their national final and decided ZENA (ЗЕНА) will sing “I Like It” at the 64 Eurovision song contest.

 

 

10 artists battled tonight for the golden ticket to Tel-Aviv, and the winner was decided by a 100% jury vote. Евровидение 2019 running order was:

  • 01 – Michael Soul – Humanize
  • 02 – ZENA (ЗЕНА) – Like It
  • 03 – Eva Kogan (Ева Коган) – Run
  • 04 – BLGN & Mirex – Champion
  • 05 – Sebastian Roos  – Never Getting Close
  • 06 – Alyona Gorbachova (Алена Горбачева)– Can We Dream
  • 07 – PROvokatsiya (PROвокация) – Running Away From The Sun
  • 08 – Aura (Аура) –  Čaravala (Чаравала)
  • 09 – NAPOLI – Let It Go
  • 10 – KeySi (КейСи) – No Love Lost

After all the artists conquer the stage, it was announced 16 years old ZENA will raise the Belarusian flag in Tel-Aviv.  In her early career as an actress and television presenter, ZENA dubbed the Russian version of Disney’s Moana and was one of the hosts of the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, held in Minsk.

Tonight’s full results were as follows:

  • ZENA (ЗЕНА) – Like It (108 points)
  • Eva Kogan (Ева Коган) – Run (73 points)
  • BLGN & Mirex – Champion (101 points)
  • Sebastian Roos  – Never Getting Close (63 points)
  • Alyona Gorbachova (Алена Горбачева)– Can We Dream (76 points)
  • PROvokatsiya (PROвокация) – Running Away From The Sun (41 points)
  • Aura (Аура) –  Čaravala (Чаравала) (55 points)
  • NAPOLI – Let It Go (47 points)
  • KeySi (КейСи) – No Love Lost (68 points)

Last year representative Alekseev lack to qualify for the final and his entry “Forever” finished the Eurovision journey ranked 16th in the semi-final.  will ZENAdo better and maybe even break the country’s record in the contest (Dmitry Koldun 6th place, 2016)? the answer will be revealed on May 14th, 2019. as Belarus will participate in the first half of semi-final 1.
