Armenia
AMPTV (the Armenian broadcaster) hasn’t revealed the participants of the national selection Depi Evratesil 2020. However, The boyband DETQ confirmed that they submitted a song to the broadcaster
The band is active since 2015. The members are Arman Petrosyan, Vahan Kirakosyan, and Mikayel Melkumyan. The submitted song will be a song that make the audience dance. The Genres of the band can be described as a Pop – soft Rock.
An unofficial source claims that Artsvik (who represented Armenia in Eurovision 2017) and Kamil Show (who participated in the national selection in 2018) have also submitted a song.
Czech Republic
On Monday, the 13th of January 2020, the broadcaster will reveal the 7 competing artists in a special press conference. The songs will be released on the 20th of January 2020.
Jakub Ondra who participated in last year’s national selection will probably participate again in 2020 national selection.
France
French media reports that the country will be represented by the singer Tom Leeb
Germany
Details about the selection process will be revealed at the end of January 2020.
Iceland
On next Saturday, the 18th of January 2020, RUV (The Icelandic broadcaster) will publish the 10 competing songs and artist of Songvakeppnin 2020.
Israel
4 candidates were eliminated this week on “The Rising Star” (“Hakochav Haba La’Eurvision”): Nathan Katorza, Oneg Israel, Dana Lapidot, and Or Edi.
Italy
RAI the Italian Eurovision broadcaster revealed the 24 competing artists of Sanremo 2020 alongside their songs titles
Latvia
Last Thursday, LTV (The Latvian broadcaster) published 26 competing songs of Supernova 2020. Only 8 among them will advance to the grand final that will be held on the 8th of February 2020. The selected 8 acts will be revealed on The 16th of January 2020.

Lithuania
The first Heat of the national selection Eurovizijos Atranka 2020 will be broadcasted tonight.
12 artists will compete in the first heat and only 6 of them will qualify for the semi-finals.
The running order of Heat 1 will be:

As we all know, Malta will choose an artist for Eurovision 2020 via “X Factor Malta”. In contrast to the last season, this year the 4 finalists will perform an original song in the final. These 4 songs are intended for Eurovision in the sense that the winner will perform that original song in Eurovision 2020. Songs submission is available until the 18th of January 2020.
Moldova
The Moldovian broadcaster TRM has announced on national selection for Eurovision 2020.
Some artists have already started (or finished) to work on their entries
Natalia Gordienco who represented Moldova in Eurovision 2006 (together with Connect-R and Arsenie Todiraș). They finished in 20th place in the final.
Natalia Gordienco published the following picture on her Instagram account. We can conclude that she is working with the “Dream Team” on her entry:
The rock band Che-Md submitted the song “Adio” for 2020 competition (following their Facebook post).
The group competed in the national selection in the year 2016, 2018 and 2019.
The band will perform the song “Adio” with the singer Irina Revenco
Norway
Tonight, in 19:50 CET, the first semi-final of “Melodi Grand Prix 2020” will be held. 4 artists will compete in duels until one winner will be announced.
The four competing acts will be:

Poland
Poland will choose an artist and a song for Eurovision 2020 via “Szansa na sukces“.
The format will include 21 artists that will take part in 3 semi-finals.
7 artists will participate in each semi-final. Only one artist will qualify for the final from each semi-final.
The semi-finals will be held on the 2nd, 9th and 16th of February 2020. The final will be held on the 23rd of February 2020.
Portugal
RTP (the Portuguese broadcaster) will reveal the artists and the song of “Festival da Canção 2020” on Wednesday the 15th of January.
Romania
Ester Alexandra Peony who represented Romania in Eurovision 2019 and failed to qualify for the grand final, hints in the following Facebook post she may compete in the national selection in 2020:
San Marino
The German media reports that the German singer John Riot may represent San Marino in Eurovision 2020. John Riot participated in The Voice of Germany.
Moreover, his intended entry will be named “Anymore”.

Serbia
The Serbian Broadcaster RTS revealed the artists who will participate in the national selection for Eurovision 2020.
Beovizija 2020 will include 2 semi-finals and grand final. The final is planned for the end of February 2020.
Each Semi-final will include 12 acts. 6 acts will qualify for the final from each semi-final.
The results will be determined by a combination of jury and public voting.

Among the participants, there are some familiar names:
Hurricane is a successful girl trio that consists of Sanja Vučić, Ivana Nikolić, and Ksenija Knežević.
Sanja Vučić has already represented Serbia in Eurovision 2016 with “Shelter”(Goodbye) and ended in 18th place.
Ksenija Knežević is the daughter of KNEZ who represented Montenegro in Eurovision 2015. She was one of his back vocalists.
Thea Devy was one of the rumored artists to represent Austria in Eurovision 2020. However, Vincent Bueno will represent Austria in Eurovision 2020.
Neda Ukraden is 69 years old singer who is well known in the Ex-Yoguslavian countries.
Her song “Bomba” has been released
Ivan Kurtić participated in the two last years national selections
Ana Milenković was one of the backing vocalists of Serbia in Eurovision 2007 (as a member of the “Beauty Queens”)
Sanja Bogosavljević was one of the backing vocalists of Serbia in Eurovision 2007 (as a member of the “Beauty Queens”)
Slovenia
The Slovenian broadcaster RTVSLO publishes snippets of EMA FREŠ 2020 finalists. Only 2 of them will get a wild card to the EMA 2020 final (The Slovenian national selection) where 10 other artists have already pre-qualified for.
Spain
Spain will probably reveal Blas Canto’s song at the end of January 2020.
Sweden
The Swedish broadcaster SVT revealed the running order of “Melodifestivalen 2020” semi-finals:

The Netherlands
The Dutch broadcast has finally put an end to all speculations regarding its representative for Eurovision 2020 and rumors and announced Jeangu Macrooy will raise the Dutch flag in Rotterdam.
Singer-songwriter Jeangu Macrooy is a Surinamese artist that leaves and works in the Netherlands.
Jeangu shared his excitement on social media quoted:” THE WORD IS OUT! I am indescribably honored to represent The Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020! It’s a dream come true and the most beautiful thing that has come my way so far. My team and I are excited to make you all very proud! Let’s go!”
The Dutch entry will be revealed on a later date during March. In the meantime, you can listen to Jeangu’s latest single
Ukraine
The Ukranian broadcaster UA:PBC postponed the date of reveling Vidbir 2020 songs. The original data was the 10th of January 2020.
