Armenia will hold the national selection “Depi Evratesil 2020“. 12 artists will compete for the opportunity to represent the country in Eurovision 2020.
The running order of the national selection has been revealed:

The results will be determined by a combination of 50% jury voting and 50% public voting. The jury will include 9 members.

Last Saturday, Australia chose the singer and the song for Eurovision 2020.
Montaigne will represent the country with the song “Don’t Break Me” :
Vincent Bueno will release his song for Eurovision 2020 on Wednesday the 4th of March 2020. The song is named “Alive” and it will be uptempo.
Hooverphonic band will release their song for Eurovision 2020 on Monday the 17th of February 2020.
Victoria Georgieva has 2 final songs for Eurovision 2020. She will decide which song to pick. Victoria will release the song between 6th-8th of Match 2020.
HRT (The Croatian broadcaster) revealed that “Dora 2020” songs won’t be released before the national final. HRT will only public snippets of the 16 competing songs.
The national final will be held on Saturday the 29th of February 2020.
The Israeli writer and composer Doron Medalie, who was among the writers and composers of “Toy” (Isreal song for Eurovision 2018, performed by Netta), wrote and composed one of the songs in “Dora 2020“. The song was co-written and composed by Doron Medalie and Branimir Mihaljević. Branimir wrote Croatia songs for Eurovision 2010+2018).
The song “You will never break my heart” will be performed by Indira Levak, the former lead singer of the dance band Colonia that will also compete in “Dora 2020”.

Sandro Nicolas (Alessandro Rütten ) will perform a song named “Running” in Eurovision 2020.
One of the composers of the song is Alfie Arcuri who competed in the national selection of Australia in 2019.
Benny Cristo will represent the Czech Republic with the song “Kemama”.
The singer mentioned that the song will be revamped in Eurovision 2020.
Yesterday, Estonia held the first semi-final of “Eesti Laul 2020“. 12 acts competed for 6 spots in the final. The results have been determined by a combination of 50% jury voting and 50% public voting.

The Israeli broadcaster “KAN” has received 248 songs for Eurovision 2020.
A special committee has chosen 4 among them to compete in the national final.
The national final will be held on the 3rd of March 2020. Eden Alene will perform 4 songs in the final.
Yesterday, Israel’s media revealed details about the 4 competing songs.
The songs themselves will be released on Thursday the 27th od February 2020.
The songs details are:
#1. Roots (Lyrics and melody by Stav Beger and Nathan Goshen)
Stav Beger was one of the writers and composers of “Toy” that was performed by Netta who won Eurovision 2018.
#2. Feker libi (“my true love” in Amharic). The song was composed and written by Idan Raichel and Doron Medalie. Doron Medalie was one of the writers and composers of “Toy” that was performed by Netta who won Eurovision 2018
#3. Savior in the Sound (Ori Avni, Talia Londoner, and Oren Emanuel)
#4. Rakata (Gal Joe Cohen, Zlil Kalifi, Eyal Ishay, and Eran Kashi)
The singer Diodato won the festival “Sanremo 2020” and confirmed he will represent Italy in Eurovision 2020. He will perform “Fai Rumore” (Eng: Make Noise)
Last Saturday, Latvia held the final selection “Supernova 2020“. The singer Samanta Tina won the competition and will represent Latvia with the song “Still Breathing“.
On an interview for LTV (The Latvian broadcaster) Samanta mentioned that she feels ready for Eurovision 2020 and therefore won’t change the production of the staging of the song.
Samanta Tina will perform her song on the final of Lithuania’s national selection that will be held tomorrow.
Lithuania will hold tomorrow the final of the national selection. 8 artists will compete in the final. The results will be determined by 50% public voting and 50% jury voting.

10 artists will compete in final in the following running order:

Poland will hold the third and last semi-final of “Szansa na sukces” on Sunday the 16th of February 2020.
7 artists will compete for one spot in the final. One of the contenders is Albert Černý who represented the Czech Republic in Eurovision 2019 as a member of the group “Lake Malawi“.

Moreover, the Polish broadcaster has decided to change the rules of the selection:
#1. 4 artists will participate in the final: the winner of each semi-final and another artist that will receive a wild-card form the jury.
#2. The requirement for the artists to be citizens or residents of Poland has been removed. It seems that the rule was updated due to the participation of the Czech singer Albert Černý who doesn’t live in Poland.
#3. In the final, the winner will be determined by a combination of jury voting and public voting.
#4. Each finalist will perform 2 songs in the final: A cover of Eurovision song (the songs will be chosen by the show’s producers) and an original song that the contender intends for Eurovision 2020.
Next Saturday (the 22nd of February 2020) the first semi-final of “Festival da Canção 2020″ will be held.
8 candidates will compete for 4 spots in the fina. The results will be determined by 50% jury voting and 50% public voting.

The Romanian broadcaster TVR announced that the young singer Roxen will represent Romania in Eurovision 2020.
Roxen is 20 years old. She discovered her passion for music at the age of seven. Her music genre can be described as Deep House. She is influenced by singers like Billie Eilish and Dua Lipa.
The singer is active since 2019. So far, Roxen has released 2 singles.
“You Don’t Love Me”
The song became a huge hit in Romania, France, the United States, Russia, and Spain.
In Romania, it reached the 3rd place in the Top 100 chart.
“Ce-ți cântă dragostea”
The single was released in November 2019 and peaked at number 32 in Romania.
Romania will hold a reduced national selection on Sunday, the 1st of March 2020.
In the national selection, Roxan will perform 5 songs. One of them will be the Romanian entry for Eurovision 2020.
On the 21st of February 2020, the 5 competing songs will be released.
