As we all know, Eurovision 2020 was cancelled due to the corona virus.
However, the broadcaster will air tonight an alternative show called “Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light”.
Eurovision 2020 artists will sing all together a special version of “Love Shine A Light” (originally performed by Katrina and t he waves) – The winning song of Eurovision 1997 (the UK)
The show will include several former Eurovision artists:
* Gali Atari (Israel 1979) – “Hallelujah”
* Michal Schulte (Germany 2018) + Ilse De Lange (The Netherlands 2014) will perform “Ein Bisschen Frieden” (Germany 1982)
* Netta Barzilai (Israel 2018) will perform a new song “Cucu” in an acoustic version
* Måns Zelmerlöw (Sweden 2015) will perform “Heroes”
* Marija Šerifović (Serbia 2007) will perform “Molitva”
* Duncan Laurence (The Netherlands) will perform his new song “Someone Else“
Moreover, Eurovision fans will sing a special version of “ What’s Another Year” together with Johnny Logan . This is his first Eurovision song from 1980.
The show will be hosted by the trio who were planned to host Eurovision 2020 itself: Chantal Janzen, Edsilia Rombley (Eurovision 1998 and 2007) and Jan Smit:
