The submission period for Eurovision 2021 songs is open until the end of the month.
Two artists have already published they submitted a song.
The first one in Pavloni who has competed last year in the first round of the pres-selection with “Stones of My Soul“

Pavloni revealed in a live video on VK that she submitted a song for Eurovision 2021
The second artist not only confirmed his participation, but also posted the demo version of his song.
The singer is Bridgy with “Kiss n’ Gun“:

The Croatian broadcaster HRT will publish the running order of songs in “Dora 2021” as well as the hosts of the show on Monday the 18th of January 2021


ERR, The Estonian broadcaster has published the semi-finals allocation draw of “Eesti Laul 2021”
Semi – Final 1 (18th of February 2021)

As usual, Estonia will select their artist and song for Eurovision via “Eesti Laul“.
24 songs are included in the line-up, but only one will be Estonia’s song for Eurovision 2021.
The 24 artists will be allocated into 2 semi-finals. The allocation will be revealed later on.
Semi-final 1 will be held on the 18th of February 2021.
Semi-final 2 will be held on the 20th of February 2021.
The Grand Final will be held on the 6th of March 2021.
Each semi-final will include 2 rounds of voting. In the first round, 50% jury voting and 50% public voting will determine the top 4 acts that will qualify for the grand final.
In the second round of voting, the 8 remaining artists will fight for another 2 spots in the final. The voting will be determined only by public voting.
12 artists will compete in the final. In the first round of voting, 50% pubic voting and 50% jury voting will decide who are the top 3. In the second round, the public will choose their favorite to win.

The Finnish Broadcaster YLE has published the list of 7 artists that will compete in the national selection “UMK 2021″:

3. Danny – Sina paiwana kun kaikki rakastaa mua

The song will be released on Monday the 18th of January 2021
4. Laura Poldvere – Play

The song will be released on Tuesday, the 19th of January 2021
5. Aksel – Hurt

Aksel Kankaanranta won the “UMK 2020” contest and therefore should have represented the country at Eurovision 2020 with the song “Looking Back“.
His song will be released on Wednesday the 20th of January 2021
6. Blind Channel – Dark Side

Their song will be released on Thursday the 21st of January 2021
7. Ilta – Kelle ma soitan (Eng: Who am I calling)

Her song will be the last to be revealed and it will happen on Friday the 22nd of January 2021

The French broadcaster France 2 has revealed the national final “Eurovision France, c’est vous qui décidez!” will be held on Saturday the 30th of January 2021 at 21:05 CET.
12 songs will be performed in the national selection:

How will the national final work?

The results will be determined by 2 rounds of voting:
First Round – All of the 12 artists will perform their songs. The top 7 artists will advance for the second round (a kind of “Super-final”). The jury panel will have an option to give a wild-card to another artist , so the second-round will consist of 8 acts.
Second Round – The results will be determined by jury voting and public voting.
The jury panel will include 10 persons:
Marie Myriam who won Eurovision 1977 for France,
Eurovision 2019 winner Duncan Laurence,
France 2001 representative Natasha St Pier,
Elodie Gossuin who was miss France 2001 and was the spokesperson for France at Eurovision for several years,
The singer Chimène Badi who participated in 2019 national selection,
The singer André Manoukian
Jean-Paul Gaultier a French designer who will also design the staging for the selected act
The actress Michelle Bernier
The singer and actor Agustin Galiana,
Eurovision 2016 rep Amir Hadad who would be the president of the jury

Stefania‘s song for Eurovision 2021 will be released only in March 2021.
The first intention was giving the song to an intentional artist


Daði Freyr who will represent Iceland alongside the band Gagnamagnið, asked fans to record vocals in order to create an a Capella choir to be used in his Eurovision 2021.
According to a post on the singer’s Facebook page, he has got more than 500 submissions of people around the world that want to be a part of the choir recording:


The Israeli broadcaster KAN has published some details about the schedule of the selection process:
#1. The public voting will be available only for people that live in Israel. It will be on the official application of KAN. The public voting will start on Tuesday the 19th of January 2021 and will be closed on Monday the 25th of January 2021.
#2. On Tuesday the 19th of January 2021, at 14:05 o’clock (Israel time) the broadcaster will hold a live streaming where the 3 video clips will finally be revealed!
#3. Lucy Ayoub (Eurovision 2019 host) and Michal Asulin will host the live streaming.
#4. The results of the national selection will be decided only by the public voting. That means that no jury voting will be included.

According to local media in Italy, the Italian broadcaster RAI is interested in bringing the ABBA band to be a special gusts at “Sanremo 2021” festival.
ABBA is a worldwide famous Swedish band that won Eurovision 1974 for Sweden.

However, Amadeus the conductor and artistic director of the “Sanremo 2021” Festival related the news by saying “There are many desires and inventions circulating. You’ll know from me when guests become official”.

However, there is a possibility that we won’t see the actual ABBA band, but the Italian one: Ricchi e Poveri

Tonight, Lithuania will broadcast the first episode of their national selection – Pabandom Iš Naujo 2021”: Heat 1. The show has already been recorded a few days ago.
Final changes to the list of 21 competing acts were made with the withdraw of Gintarė Korsakaitė (unknown reasons why she withdraw) and Evelina Sašenko (withdraw due to travel restrictions/difficulties due to Covid-19 restrictions)
“Pabandom iš Naujo 2021” hosts were announced during the filming of heat 1 and they are Vytautas Rumsas Jr, Ieva Stasiulevičiūttė and Vaidas Baumila (part of the duo that represented Lithuania at Eurovision 2015)



The jury for heat 1 also were announced and they are Ramūnas Zilnys, Jievaras Jasinskis, Vytautas Bikus, Ieva Narkutė and Aistė Smilgevičiūtė (represented Lithuania in 1999).

The results will be determined by a combination of 50% jury voting and 50% public voting.
5 artists will qualify for the semi-final.

The Norwegian broadcaster NRK has published a list of 10 artists that will compete in the national selection “Melodi Grand Prix 2021″: 4 among them will compete in semi-final 1 while the other 6 are pre-qualified acts.
Tonight, semi-final 1 will be held. 4 artist will compete for only one spot in the final.
They will be allocated into 2 duels where the winner of each one will advance. Thereafter, the 2 duels winners will compete in a duel, until the winner will be announced.

In addition, the 6 pre-qualifier artists have been revealed. Among them, we can find 2 returning artists (considering former editions of “Melodi Grand Prix“)

Stavangerkameratene – “Barndomsgater” (will perform in second semi-final)

Kaja Rode – “Feel Again” (will perform in third semi-final)

Rein Alexander – “Eyes Wide Open” (will perform in fifth semi-final)


As we have already claimed for months: There are high chances that Alicja Szemplińska will represent Poland at Eurovision 2021.
The singer has been selected to represent the country at Eurovision 2020 after she had won the national selection in 2020.
However, Eurovision 2020 was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
On her Instagram story, the singer shared the following picture

The singer was in the studio, working on songs with Piotr Walicki – a producer and composer that has already worked with her on several songs she has released in 2020.
We can see the flag of The Netherlands which hints that they are working on an entry for Eurovision 2021 that be held in The Netherlands.

The singers who will perform the 20 selected songs will be reveled on the 20th of January 2021.
At the moment, we know who are the 20 composers behind the songs, as well as the semi-final split.

On live streaming on Instagram (Q&A format) the singer Roxen said that she is interested in national selection in order to select her song for Eurovision 2021. The Romanian broadcaster hasn’t revealed the country plans for Eurovision 2021. However, the plans may be influenced by the Covid-19 situation.

Second Chance: (March 6th, 2021) (Hosts: Christer Björkman & Shirley Clamp)


According to an interview that gave Kateryna Pavlenko (the lead singer of Go_A band),
we can infer that the band has already chosen the song for Eurovision 2021.
Following our previous reports, Ukraine won’t hold a national selection in 2021.

The singer said that at the moment they will be working on the final version and production for their song. The song will be in the language of Ukrainian and will include foundations of Folklore music.
The band want to increase the focus on their culture and roots.
The Ukrainian entry will be released in February 2021.
