Ukraine: How Will The Song For Eurovision 2021 be chosen?

The Ukrainian band Go_A has been internally selected to represent the country, following their winning at “Vidbir 2020” (the national selection for Eurovision 2020).
The band should have performed “Solovey

A few weeks ago, the band lead singer Kateryna Pavlenko, has been interviewed and said that the band has already a favorite song. The band hinted it will be a Folk song that will be performed in the language of Ukrainian. Therefore, we were able to infer that the band internally selected their song for Eurovision 2021.

However, today we came across a new path for the way Ukraine will select their song for Eurovision 2021!
According to UA:PBC (The Ukrainian broadcaster) and according to the Twitter account “Ukraine at Eurovision”, the Ukrainian song this year will be selected by jury panel.

The band will have to submit at least 2 different songs. Each jury member will rank the songs separately. The song with the highest amount of points will be the song for Eurovision 2021.
The selection will be internal, therefore it will not be broadcasted on the TV.

The 5 members at the jury panel are:

Jamala
(the winner of Eurovision 2016)
Ruslan Kvinta (music producer)
Evgeny Filatov (member of Maneken band)
Dmytro Khorkin (member of UA:PBC)
Yaroslav Lodygin (member of UA:PBC)

The jury panel will rank the songs on the day after the songs will be submitted for the broadcaster.
Nevertheless, the results of the jury voting will be revealed only on the 10th of March 2021.
Although the band wanted to reveal their Eurovision song in February 2021.
That will make Ukraine to be one of the last countries to reveal their song for Eurovision this year.

Talking about their new entry for Rotterdam, the band were quested “Friends, finally! Official information regarding this year’s selection! All year we worked, experimented, looked for inspiration sometimes in quite unpredictable places and circumstances, and it was a unique experience we will remember for a lifetime! We are grateful to everyone who supported us during this interesting, but quite difficult period, because you can’t even imagine the scale of responsibility the feeling that was pressured from the moment we were declared representatives from Ukraine! It made us work on ourselves, although sometimes it prevented us from creating our hearts! Now the word for the jury. Let’s wait a little longer. We will definitely show everything we have done in a year. Keep calm and be patient”

Have we already heard a potential song for Eurovision 2021?
There is a possibility that one of the submitted songs will be the band new song “ШУМ
