Tonight, Norway held semi-final 5 of “Melodi Grand Prix 2021″ – the national selection for Eurovision 2021.
In the beginning, the 4 competing artists have been allocated into 2 duels:
Duel 1 – TuVeia vs RIVER
TuVeia were the first to perform their song
RIVER were the second to perform their song
RIVER defeated TuVeia in the duel
Duel 2 – Ane.Fin vs IMERIKA
Ane.Fin was the third to perform her song
IMERIKA was the last semi-finalist to perform her song
IMERIKA defeated Ane.Fin in the duel!
Duel 3 – RIVER VS IMERIKA
At the end of the evening, IMERIKA defeated RIVER
Therefore, IMERIKA got the only spot in the final among the semi-finalists of semi-final 5
We had the opportunity to watch a live performance by an automatic qualifier Rein Alexander perfomeing his song ”Eyes Wide Open”
