Albania: Listen to the Revamped Version of “Karma” by Anxhela Peristeri

Last December, Anxhela Peristeri won “Festivali i Këngës 59” with the dramatic ethnic ballad “Karma“, which is performed in Albanian.
The singer got her chance to represent Albania at Eurovision 2021.

A live performance in the national final can be reached here:

However, there isn’t a perfect Eurovision without a revamped version of the Albanian entry.

A few minutes ago, the new version of “Karma” was released. The song, which has been 3 minutes long, almost wasn’t shortened. Besides, the song remains in the language of Albanian.

So what has changed?

Basically, the melody of the bridge doesn’t include any guitars, but wind instruments.
The production can be described as more ethnic in some parts.
However, the song is still a dramatic Blakan ballad with a combination of ethnic pop, traditional Albanian music and modern elements.
