As we continue the weekly series Around The Continent and we are going to talk about news and updated list how each country will select or take part at Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

Its been revealed that hosts of the French national selection for ‘Eurovision France, C’est Vous Qui Décidez’ its been revealed and its Stéphane Bern and Laurence Boccolini and they will be commentators for the French commentary in May at Eurovision 2022.


In interview with Greek version of Canadian-American magazine Vice, Greek singer Marina Satti has revealed that she would love to participate in the Eurovison Song Contest if she was ever asked her again.
She also revealed that Greek broadcaster ERT has asked her multiple times in past but she hadn’t accepted their proposal.
”In the phases that had been suggested to me, I could not do it. I had some other goals at that time and I did not want to lose my concentration. I do not even know if I would fit such an event”
“Maybe if I felt I could do it my own way. But, really, I never say never again. For so many things I have said “no”, which finally became “yes”
Marina was originally approached by ERT in late 2019 to represent Greece at the Eurovision 2020 but was accepted by Stefania.
ERT will begin the Eurovision 2022 preparations this October. We going to find out later if Greece goes with internal selection or national selection process.

Israeli Eurovision newsite EuroMix reported that The X Factor Israel is set to commence in first week of October with channel Reshet 13 to announce the launch date shortly.
X Factor Israel will be selection process to find who will represent Israel at Eurovision 2022.It will take place from October until end of the year 2021.
Judging panel will include Eurovision 2018 winner Netta, with Ran Ranker,Miri Mesika,Aviv Geffen and Margalit Tzan’ani. Its still unknown if song as well be chosen from same program or different selection process program.

Currently 11 cities remain in being running to being host of Eurovision Song Contest 2022.From 17 cities is now reduced with 11 cities.

Speaking of city of Turin, Regional Council of Piedmont has backed the bid of Eurovision 2022 to be hosted in Turin.
Sara Zambai who was first councillor to sign the Council’s agenda to support Turin’s bid explained:
“We have the opportunity to host the most important musical event at European level, followed all over the world, and we must not lose it. A great opportunity both in terms of visibility and economic repercussions. We are satisfied with the majority of councilor’s support for our document and we want to extend the appeal to plead this cause also to all Turin and Piedmontese artists. By creating an axis that involves both the world of the arts and the institutions, we will be able to carry out this candidacy with more force. ”
“Our city has all the numbers to become the European capital of music in 2022. Turin completely deserves this prestigious international stage and we will continue to support its bid wherever we can.”
Once again Amadeus will be host and Artistic Director of Sanremo, marking a third contest that he will take that role.
Italian broadcaster RAI has confirmed that Amadeus will host and artistic director of Italian festival Sanremo Song Festival.
It also been revealed the dates when Sanremo will take place and its from 1st to 5th of February 2022. It also been revealed that Sanremo hosts will not be the same as the hosts of the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

In the interview of Dutch media Telegraaf, Eurovision hopeful Dries Roelvink claims that Dutch singer Maan is a ”serious candidate” to represent Netherlands at Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
Dries Roelvink says:
“I’ve heard in the corridors that Maan is a serious candidate. Well, if it were her, then I’m at peace with it. A beautiful young singer”.
Maan is winner of Voice of Holland in 2015 and she was originally rumoured to represent Netherlands at Eurovision Song Contest 2018 however she denied those rumours stating that it was too early in career. Since then she has been successful in musical and TV career and she also worked with past Eurovision legend Anouk in the studio.
Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS has made any comment on the rumour and has not been revealed what process they going through.
