According to RTBF (the Belgian broadcaster for French-speaking Community of Belgium), the artist for Eurovision 2022 will be revealed on Wednesday.
The artist will be revealed on VivaCité Radio, during the programme “Le 8/9” . The programme will be broadcast on Wednesday the (15th of September 2021) between 8:00 and 9:00 CET.
As in previous years, Belgium chose the artist and the song for Eurovision behind closed doors.
The song will likely be revealed at a later date, apparently in February 2022.

Therefore, once again Belgium will be the first country to announce the artist for Eurovision, as they did in 2018 and 2020.
Last year, Belgium qualified for the final and ended up in 19th place (with Hooverphonic performing “The Wrong Place“) , after 2 years (2018-2019) of non-qualifying:
