Azerbaijan: Eurovision 2022 Entry Will Be Released On the 21st of March 2022

Nadir Rustamli has been internally chosen to represent Azerbaijan at Eurovision 2022 after he won the last edition of “The Voice of Azerbaijan“.

The Instagram page Eurovision Azerbaijan reported that the country will try its luck with an emotional ballad this year.

Today, the singer has published a short teaser form the video clip.

According to the teaser, we can infer that the Azerbaijani song for Eurovision 2022 will be released on Monday, the 21st of March 2022.
In addition, it has been hinted that the song will be named “Stay“.

About The Selection Process

  1. Ictimai TV has received around 300 demo versions
  2. 6 songs were shortlisted for the final round.
  3. The song for Eurovision 2022 was chosen by a professional jury.

The singer revealed that the song was recorded with the final edit on Saturday (the 5th of March 2022):

Azerbaijan will participate in the first half of semi-final 2 of Eurovision 2022 which will be held on the 12th of May 2022.
If the country qualifies, Azerbaijan will perform in the grand final on the 14th of May 2022
