“The Voice of Georgia 2023” Will Start On December 8th

Georgian broadcaster GPB has decided to change direction for Eurovision.
After failing to qualify for 5 years in a row, the selection process was changed from national selection, “Georgian Idol” and internal selection to “The Voice of Georgia”.

The first episode of “The Voice of Georgia 2023” will be broadcaster on Thursday, the 8th of December 2022

The Voice of Georgia 2023” is likely to last for 10 weeks.
Therefore, we can infer that the Georgian artist for Eurovision 2023 will be known in the beginning – middle of February 2023.

4 mentors will lead Georgia in the way to find the right representative for Eurovision 2023:

#1. Sopho Toroshelidze 

Sopho was the lead singer of Eldrine who represented Georgia at Eurovision 2011.
In 2014, she joined the jury panel of “X Factor Georgia“. She has also been part of the Georgian jury for Junior Eurovision.

#2. Stephane Mgebrishvili 

Stephane is a 43 year old Georgian composer. He has been a judge on “X Factor Georgia” and “The Voice of Georgia“.
He is mostly known in the Eurovision fandom as part of Stephane and 3G, who should represent Georgia at Eurovision 2009 (but later on disqualified).

#3. Dato Evgenidze

Dato is a Georgian composer. He composed soundtracks for theatre and cinema.
He is also well known for being a juror in “Renina” (Georgian selection for Junior Eurovision).

#4. Dato Porchkhidze 

Dato was a mentor the previous season and his team won twice.
He will join as one of the most experiences mentors that has managed to haunt Georgian talents in the past.
Dato composed hundreds of songs, and was part of “The Face” music project

The last time Georgia qualified for the final was in Eurovision 2016, with Nika Kocharov and Young Georgian Lolitaz, performing “Midnight Gold“:

Circus Mircus represented Georgia at Eurovision 2022 with the alternative indie song “Lock Me In“. The band ended in the 18th and last place in semi-final 2:
