It’s official, after the rumors across social media Armenian broadcaster AMPTV announced that pop star Brunette will represent the nation at Eurovision Song Contest 2023.
Brunette is a well-known pop artist in Armenia for several hit songs and intends to bring a new style to the Eurovision stage.
She shares her excitement of representing the nation
‘I am happy to share the news with you. I just create music, and this time I will share it with the European audience!’
The talented singer-songwriter has been performing since she was 4 years old and writing her own music as a teenager.
Her songs like ”Night”, ”Smoke Break” and ”Light Blue Eyes’‘ became massive hits on Youtube.
AMPTVs Executive Director Hovhannes Movsisyan emphasized the importance of entrusting the representation of Armenia to young and talented artists:
‘Last year, sending a young artist to Eurovision was justified. The song is still successful and captivates millions of fans. I hope this year we will surprise the European audience with a unique Armenian artist.’
Davit Tserunyan, the Head of the Armenian delegation to the Eurovision Song Contest, added:
‘A few weeks after organizing the Junior Eurovision in Yerevan, we started the process of selecting our representative for the contest. At this stage, we are working on the song and the video, which I am sure will be impressive!’
Brunette’s song will be revealed in March 2023 meanwhile we advise you to check out her music through musical platforms.
Rosa Linn represented Armenia at Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song ”Snap”. She came in 20th place in the grand final with 61 points.
Armenia will participate in the first half of Semi Final 2 on 11th May 2023 in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.
