Melodifestivalen2023: Another Two Finalists Revealed

Sweden continues the journey to Eurovision 2023 with the second heat of Melodiffestivalen 2023 taking place tonight live from Saab Arena in Linköping.

On a fantastic show full with self Swedish humor, our hosts Farah Abadi and Jesper Rönndahl invited on stage on by one the next seven acts battling for a spot in the grand final. Performing by this running order were:

  1. Wiktoria – All My Life (Where Have You Been)
  2. Eden – Comfortable
  3. Uje Brandelius – Grytan
  4. Panetoz  On My Way
  5. Tennessee Tears  Now I Know
  6. Maria Sur  Never Give Up
  7. Theoz  Mer Av Dig

Results:

Round 1

After the first count of votes, Maria Sur  “Never Give Up” was announced as the first act confirmed for a spot in the grand final.

Round 2

Moving on to reveal how the public have voted, we can now reveal that tonight’s second ticket to the grand final is Panetoz  “On My Way”

Both Maria Sur and Panetoz will join last week’s finalists at the grand final of Melfest2023

  • Jon Henrik Fjällgren, Arc North feat. Adam Woods – Where You Are (Sávečan)
  • Tone Sekelius – Rhythm Of My Show

Besides the finalists, spots 3 and 4, will battle again in the semi-finals where more tickets for the grand finale are up for grabs. This means that joining Elov & Beny and Victor Crone  are:

  1. Theoz  Mer Av Dig
  2. Tennessee Tears  Now I Know

Unfortunately, these three acts have finished their Melodifestivalen2023 road

  1. Wiktoria – All My Life (Where Have You Been)
  2. Eden – Comfortable
  3. Uje Brandelius – Grytan

Next week the second group will continue the battle for another two tickets for the grand final in Friends Arena. Performing next week are

  1. Paul Ray – Royals
  2. Casanovas – Så Kommer Känslorna Tillbaka
  3. Melanie Wehbe – For The Show
  4. Nordman  Släpp Alla Sorger
  5. Laurell – Sober
  6. Ida-Lova – Låt Hela Stan Se På
  7. Marcus & Martinus – Air

Melodifestivalen 2023 Calendar

  • Heat1 : 4 February 2023 (Scandinavium, Gothenburg)
  • Heat2: 11 February 2023 (Saab Arena, Linköping)
  • Heat3: 18 February 2023 (Sparbanken Lidköping Arena, Lidköping)
  • Heat4: 25 February 2023 (Malmö Arena, Malmö)
  • Semi-final: 4 March 2023 (Hägglunds Arena, Örnsköldsvik)
  • Final: 11 March 2023 (Friends Arena, Stockholm)

Melodifestivalen 2023” grand final will take place on Saturday 11th of March 2023 at Stockholm’s Friends Arena. This will also be the date where the date when the Swedish artist and song for Liverpool will be known to all.

Sweden will compete in the second half of semi-final 2 at Eurovision 2023.
Last year it was Cornelia Jakobs who sang the powerful pop ballad “Hold Me Closer” for Sweden and pierced the scoreboard with 438 points to take her higher up to grand final 4th place.
