Azerbaijani broadcaster ictimai TV continues the prepartions for Eurovision 2024.
Following the auditions, the jury panel shortlisted 6 acts to advance for the 3rd round of selection:
- Aisel (Eurovision 2018)
- Emy Lia (Emiliya Yaqubova) – The winner of “The Voice of Azerbaijan” season 1
- İlkin Dövlətov & Mila Miles & Etibar Əsədli
- Fahree
- Səbinə Quluzadə
- Qorqud

Here are the main details:
Aisel
Her song can be featured in a horror movie, but it also tells a historical story. She composed and wrote the song herself, with lyrics in Azerbaijani language. She quoted the following line as her favorite phrase of the song – “Bəsdir yatdın, oyan dünya” (Eng: That’s enough, world, wake up already). Her song will probably feature some mysterious elements.
Emy Lia (Emiliya Yaqubova)
Emy will perform a melodramatic song in English. One phrase from the song is “I left my pride in the fire”
İlkin Dövlətov & Mila Miles & Etibar Əsədli
Their song will probably talk about unity or love. Their song will be performed in Azerbaijani and will include the following lyrics “Eşqi dərk edib bilərsən ki, qadirdir nəyə” (Eng: Once you really what is love, you will realize its full power).
The song is performed in a traditional Azeri style of singing, and the genre is a combination of R&B and soul.
Fahree
His song was said to fit into an action move, a song that tells the story of a fight. One of the phrases in the song is: “I’m going back to Diyar”
Səbinə Quluzadə
Her song is performed in English. It will probably be a self-empowerment song. One of the phrases in the song is: “‘ll be searching for my own light, Tame my inner demons”.
Qorqud
His song was said to fit a spying story. One of the phrases in the song is: “Now forget your fears, All you need is love”.
TurlTuranx represented Azerbaijan at Eurovision 2023 with “Tell Me More“.
They didn’t manage to qualify for the final:

Eurovision 2024 will be held in Malmö, Sweden.
The semi-final will be held on the 7th and 9th of May 2024, and the grand final will be held on the 11h of May 2024
