Croatia: More Details About “Dora 2024”

Croatia will choose an artist and a song for Eurovision 2024 via “Dora 2024″.
The submission window closed on the 30th of November 2023.

The head of the Croatian delegation, Tomislav Å tengl gave an interview on “Good Morning, Croatia” and revealed that around 110 songs were submitted to HRT, by the 2 days before the deadline.

The expected date for the final of “Dora 2024” is Saturday, the 24th of February 2024 in the city of Opetija.
in December or January, HRT will determine the number of songs to compete in the national selection. Tomislav Å tengl believes that there is room for around 24 songs.
In this case, the planning for the semi-final will be considered as well.

Last year, 196 songs were submitted for “Dora 2023” with the majority of them submitted in the very few last days of the submission window.
This year, HRT received around 200 songs for “Dora 2024”

Let3 represented Croatia at Eurovision 2023 with the song “Mama Å ÄŒ!“.
Despite being well accepted by the public (7th place), they ended in the 13th place (combined with the jury vote) with a total of 123 points:

Eurovision 2024 will be held in Malmö, Sweden.
The semi-finals will be held on the 7th and 9th of May 2024, and the grand final will be held on the 11th of May 2024
