The EBU released a list of participating countries at Eurovision 2024:
North Macedonia, Romania, Bulgaria, Montengero, Turkey, Slovakia, Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina aren’t included in the list.
The list of “Dora 2024” participants will most likely be released towards the end of December 2023
According to rumors, the following artists might have submitted a song:
- Meri Andraković (“Bye Bye Blonde”, Dora 2023)
- Let 3 (Eurovision 2023)
- Danijel Popović (Yoguslavia, Eurovision 1983)
- Vetra – A well-known rock band
- Lana Mandarić
- Aljoša Šerić (Juror, Dora 2022)
Last Monday, the live show of “ESCZ 2024” took place.
Voting will close on the 11th of December 2023, and the results will be revealed on Tuesday, 12th of December 2023.

Germany have announced an additional path for their national selection.
15 artists have been selected to take part in “Ich will zum ESC”.
The mentors will be Conchita Wurst (Austria, Eurovision 2014) and Rea Garvey
The series will feature 6 episodes, starting on the 27th of January 2024.
On the 8th of February, the final will take place (with 2 finalists performing their songs for Eurovision)
The 2nd, 3rd and 4th episodes of “The Rising Star” for Eurovision 2024 were broadcast.

The top 3 artists of “Sanremo Giovani 2023” will join them.
French-born singer Antoine Wend expressed his intention to submit an entry to Eurovizija.lt.
Previously, he won “X-Factor Lithuania”, as part of the duo Mando.

The Netherlands will reveal its representative for Eurovision 2024 on Monday, the 11th of December. Based on 538 radio, the top 3 favorites to represent the country are:
- Ilse DeLange (Eurovision 2014)
- Karsu (A Dutch singer of Turkish descent)
- Numidia (A Dutch singer of Moroccan descent)
North Macedonia won’t take part in Eurovision 2024, due to different priorities of the annual budget. MRT will use the money for the 60th anniversary of the local TV and 80th anniversary of the local radio.
Romania’s participation in Eurovision 2024 is still uncertain, as the annual budget for 2024 is still pending.
TVR received a special extension from EBU, so confirmation can be made later on.
Therefore, the effective deadline is the semi-final allocation draw (end of January 2024)
235 were submitted for “Pesma za Evroviziju 2024″ – this is a record number since 2018.
Around 30 artists will be shortlisted to participate in the televised shows.
The semi-finals will be held on ther 27th and the 29th of February 2024, while the grand final will be held on the 2nd of March 2024.
The list of shortlisted acts will be revealed by the end of December 2023.

RTV SLO have changed their plans for Eurovision 2024. Instead of national selection, the act for Eurovision 2024 has been internally selected.
The Slovene artist for Eurovision 2024 will be revealed on Tuesday, the 12th of December at 12:00 CET, at SNG Opera and Ballet in Ljubljana.
The song will be revealed in “Misija Malmö” – the show will be held in the second half January, 2024. The song will be performed in Slovenian language.

Internal selection for Switzerland progresses towards its end.

On the 5th of December 2023, it has been reported that 5 artists remained in the race to represent the country at Eurovision 2024.
The final round will feature live performances from the candidates. Later on, 2 committees composed of international and local jury will vote for their favorite act.
