The results will be determined by a 75% public vote and a 25% international jury vote.
The international jury vote will come from 7 different countires, including Sweden, the UK and more.
The hosts of the show will be: Pilvi Hämäläinen, Benjamin and Viivi Pumpanen.
The show will be held at Nokia Arena, Tampere.
The show will feature several special guests who will perform live:
Käärijä (Eurovision 2023) and Erika Vikman (“UMK 2020”) will perform their new song “Ruoska“

- Round 2 – The top 5 artists will perform again. The results will be based on 34% public vote, 33% radio jury and 33% press jury.

“Melodifestivalen 2024” will last for 6 weeks: 5 heat and a grand final.
6 artists will compete in each heat: 2 will qualify for the final, additional 2 will get an opportunity to compete for a second chance, and the remaining 2 will be eliminated.
Voting will be managed in 2 rounds, where only the public will vote:
- The votes will be aggregated to 8 groups of voters: Televote, and 7 age groups (3-9, 10-15, 16-29, 30-44, 45-59, 60-74, 75+)
- The winner of the first round will get a ticket to the final.
- The remaining 5 acts will face another vote, where the votes of each group will be aggregated to a set of points: 12,10,8,5,3
