Around The Continent 2024: Episode 18

We will continue our exciting Eurovision journey with a series of posts, “Around The Continent,” where we will share a recap of the Eurovision season news.
Let’s travel country by country, to collect all the exciting stories and updates.

Besa confirmed she will perform a revamped version of “Zemrën n’dorë” at Eurovision 2024.
The new version is in English, and the lyrics won’t be translation of the original ones.
The revamped version will be released on March 11th.

Australia will reveal the Eurovision representative on March 6th (Australia time). It is possible the song will be released at the same time as well.

5MIINUST x Puuluup won “Esti Laul 2024″ and therefore will represent Estonia at Eurovision 2024 with the song (nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) midagi:

The Estonian song’s lyrics will go under minor change before Eurovision.

Isaak will make some changes to the lyrics of his Eurovision 2024 song, “Always On The Run”:

The Greek song for Eurovision 2024 – “Zari” by Marina Satti, will be released on Wednesday, 7th of March at 20:00 CET.

  5. Sigga Ózk – Into the Atmosphere

The results will be determined in 2 rounds:

  1. Round 1 – The results will be based on a 50% jury vote (combination of national and international jury) and a 50% public vote. Based on a proportional system, the top 2 acts will make it to the super-final.
  2. Round 2 – On top of the cumulated points, the public will be able to vote again for one of the 2 acts. The artists achieving the highest sum amount of points, will win the selection.

2 special guests will perform in the final:

  1. Selma – The singer represented Iceland at Eurovision 1999+2005
  2. Dilja – The singer represented Iceland at Eurovision 2023

Tonight, the second semi-final of “Festival da Canção 2024” will be held. 10 artists will compete for 6 spots in the final: 5 artists will be announced after the first round (based on a 50% jury vote and a 50% public vote). The 6th artist will be selected by the public only.

16 artists qualified for the final and will perform in the following running order:

The results will be determined by a 50% public vote (scaled system: 1-12 points) and a 50% national jury vote (scaled system: 1-12 points).

Today, the the 5th heat of “Melodifestivalen 2024” will take place:

Olly Alexander release his Eurovision 2024 song – “Dizzy“:

Doron Lahav is 30-year-old, who lives in Israel. Doron has been watching the Eurovision Song Contest since early 2000s. Doron works as a Data Scientist and shows interest in singing and writing.
