Italian broadcaster RAI has released the regulations for “Festival di Sanremo 2025”.
Italian broadcaster Rai has appointed Carlo Conti to be the artistic director and host of the festival. He had already led the festival between 2015 and 2017.

The document also confirms the festival’s linkage to Eurovision.
This means that the festival winner will have the first right to represent Italy in Eurovision 2025

Festival di Sanremo 2025 – All Known Details

- The festival will last for 5 nights, starting on the 11th of February 2025 (Tuesday) and ending on the the 15th of February 2025 (Saturday)
- As always, 2 categories of artists will take part in the festival:
- “Categoria Campioni” – The “Champions” (Big Artists) Categotry: will feature 24 artists.
- “Categoria Nuove Proposte” – The “Newcomers” Category: will feature 4 finalists from “Sanremo Giovani 2024″
- Night 1:
- All 24 participants (“Champions”) will perform their songs.
- The results will be based on web and TV journalists
- At the end of the night, the top 5 will be announced in a random order.
- Night 2:
- Half of the 24 participants will perform their songs
- The results will be based on 50% public vote and 50% radio
- The top 5 will be announced in random order.
- In addition, 2 of the 4 “Newcomers” will perform their songs. One of them will qualify for the Newcomers” final.
- Night 3:
- The second half of the 24 participants will perform their songs
- The results will be based on 50% public vote and 50% radio
- The top 5 will be announced in random order.
- In addition, 2 of the 4 “Newcomers” will perform their songs. One of them will qualify for the Newcomers” final.
- Night 4:
- The artists will perform covers and/or duets.
- The covered songs will be either Italian or international (as well as duet partners).
- The results will be based on a 34% public vote, 33% professional jury vote and a 33% radio jury vote
- The winner of the night will be announced, but the results won’t impact the festival’s final results.
- Furthermore, the 2 “Newcomers” finalists will perform their songs and one of them will be the winner of the category, based on a 34% public vote, 33% professional jury vote and a 33% radio jury vote
- Night 5:
- All participants will perform their songs.
- The results will be based on the average ranking of the first 3 nights and the final night (based on 100% public vote)
- The Top 5 artists (based on the combined ranking of nights 1-3 and night 5, based on jury and the public) will advance to the super final.
- Super-finalists will perform their songs again.
- The results of the super-final will be based on a 34% public vote, 33% professional jury vote and a 33% radio jury vote
- The competing artists in the “Champion” Category will be announced around December 2024 – January 2025.
- “Sanremo Giovano 2024” will be held in December 2024

Angelina Mango represented Italy at Eurovision 2024 with “La Noia“.
She ended in 7th place with 268 points:
