Ukrainian broadcaster Suspilne has opened the submission window for “Vidbir 2025” (the national selection for Eurovision 2025)
Tina Karol, who represented Ukraine at Eurovision 2006, will be the musical producer of “Vidbir 2025”
Vidbir 2025 – Known Details
- The submission window opened today (the 16th of September 2024) and will close on the 10th of November 2024.
- Submission will be sent online via Suspilne website
- Artists can submit several songs.
- The professional committee will choose 20 songs to be included in the longlist.
- The artists who will be included in the longlist will be invited to perform in live auditions.
- The professional committee will shortlist 9 songs to be performed in “Vidbir 2025”. This list will be announced by the 9th of December 2024.
- The public will select an additional song (the 10th one) out of the longlist songs that won’t be shortlisted.
- The list of 10 finalists will be revealed by the 17th of January 2025.
- “Vidbir 2025” will probably be held in February 2025.
- The winner will be determined by a combination of public vote and local jury panel.
So far, Ukraine is the only country which has always qualified for the final!
Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil represented Ukraine at Eurovision 2024 with the song “Teresa & Maria”.
They finished in 3rd place with 453 points
Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th and 17th of May 2025
