Last week, Greek broadcaster ERT confirmed the country’s participation in Eurovision 2025.
Katerina Kaskanioti, ERT director, has announced the national broadcaster’s plans for Eurovision 2025 at the Athens Conservatory.
Greece will select its Eurovision entry and artist via a national selection, for the first time in years!
In the upcoming weeks, ERT will open the submission window for songs.
This time, each Greek artist will be welcome to submit an entry (regardless of the record label he/she is signed to).
ERT will organize a selection show which will be broadcast on TV.
The winner will be chosen with the involvement of the public vote
In recent years, Greece has used internal selection for most of the cases.
In some cases, shortlisted acts have been revealed (like in 2023), while in other cases (like 2024) ERT has announced the chosen act.
Marina Satti represented Greece at Eurovision 2024 with the song “ZARI”.
She finished in 11th place with 126 points
