Croatian broadcaster HRT confirmed the country will take part in Eurovision 2025.
Croatia will choose its artist and entry for Eurovision 2025 via the national selection “Dora 2025”.
“Dora” has been used as a selection process for Eurovision ever since 2019, and also between 1993 and 2011.
Dora 2025 – Known Details
- The submission window opened today (the 20th of September 2024) and will close on the 15th of November 2024.
- The selection committee will select 24 songs to participate in the “Dora 2025“, and additional 4 reservations songs.
- The criteria for selecting songs is exclusively artistic value with an emphasis on the quality of the music and lyrics as well as the overall work
- Performers must be Croatian citizens.
- The use of auto-tune is prohibited.
- Pre-recorded backing vocals will be allowed.
- Songs can be performed in Croatian or any European language.
- “Dora 2025” will be held during February 2025.
- The winner of “Dora 2025” will be selected by a combination of an expert jury and a public vote.
- The full format, as well as the number of shows, will be revealed no later than the 20th of January 2025.
- The shortlisted artists will have to finalize their video clip no later than the 5th of January 2025.
Baby Lasagna represented Croatia at Eurovision 2024 with the song “Rim Tim Tagi Dim”.
He finished in 2rd place with 547 points
Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th and 17th of May 2025
