What is Sanremo Giovani ?
Sanremo Giovani is the yearly contest where new artists compete for a spot at Festival di Sanremo. This year, artistic director Carlo Conti decided to revert to the previous format, where two concurrent categories existed: in February 2024: one for established artists, competing for the main trophy, and one for newcomers. 4 artists will compete in the newcomers’ category, known as Nuove Proposte.
How Does it work?
24 artists have been shortlisted to participate in Sanremo Giovani. Each week, Rai 2 will broadcast one of the four preliminary heats, where six artists compete in duels against each other for one of the twelve spots in the semi-final round. The results of each heat are determined by the combination of votes from an expert jury (50%) and the televote (50%). The show is hosted by Alessandro Cattelan, who will also co-host the final night of Sanremo in February 2025.
Last week we learned first 3 qualifiers for Semi Final for Sanremo Giovani 2024 and they are TANCREDI,MEW and MAZZARIELLO.

- Ciao Sono Vale vs Selmi
The 3 Qualifiers were:

Settembre – ”Vertebre”
Selmi – ”Forse per sempre”
That means these 3 artists didn’t advance to the final:

Sanremo Giovani 2024 heat 3 will take place on 26th November 2024 These artists will participate in Heat 3

“Sanremo Giovani 2024” Format”
- The “elimination rounds” will take place over 4 episodes and will be broadcast on Tuesdays: 12th, 19th, 26th of November and the 3rd of December 2024.
- 8 artists will participate in each of the “elimination rounds”, and 3 of them will qualify for the semi-final.
- The semi-final will be held on the 10th of December, featuring 12 emerging artists. 6 of them will qualify for the final.
- The “Sanremo Giovani 2024” final will be held on Wednesday, the 18th of December. the 6 semi-finalists, joined by 2 additional artists (“Area Sanremo”), will compete for 4 spots in the “Newcomers” category in “Sanremo 2024″.
