Israel: “Hakohav Haba 2025” Final Will Be Held On January 22

Israel will select its Eurovision 2025 artist via “The Rising Star For Eurovision 2025” (“Hakohav Haba La’Eurovision 2025″).
While the artist selection is in progress, with 9 artists remaining in the race at the moment, the song will be selected internally by a professional committee.

In yesterday’s episode (7th of January 2025), it was revealed that the final will take place on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025.
4 artists will qualify for the final, where the results will be determined in 2 rounds, based on the jury and public votes.

At the moment, 9 artists remain in the race to represent Israel in Eurovision 2025:

  1. Moran Aharoni ft. Red Band
  2. Yuval Refael
  3. Valery Hamaty
  4. Daniel Wais
  5. Yuval Gold
  6. Ido Malca
  7. Dolev Mandelbaum
  8. Amit Sade
  9. Nati Livian

Israel’s Song Selection For Eurovision 2025

  1. The submission window opened on December 30th and will close on the 2nd of February 2025.
  2. The song will be selected by a professional committee. The decision will be made around the end of February 2025.
  3. The professional committee will consist of 7 members
  4. The selection will include 2 phases. Between 3 and 5 songs will qualify for the second phase, wher the jury will vote again.
  5. The song premiere will take place at the beginning of March 2025, in a special show in Kan
  6. Kan and Keshet 12 have approached around 120 known composers and songwriters, inviting them to submit a song..
  7. Each songwriter/composer can submit up to 3 different songs.
  8. For each submission, all writers must hold Israeli citizenship, with an exception of one.
  9. The winner of “The Rising Star For Euorvision 2025″ will also be allowed to submit a song.
  10. There are no language restrictions, but each song must include at least 2 lines in Hebrew

Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th and 17th of May 2025
