Israel will select its Eurovision 2025 artist via “The Rising Star For Eurovision 2025” (“Hakohav Haba La’Eurovision 2025″).
The song will be selected internally by a professional committee.
Yesterday, we had the opportunity to watch the semi-final, where 5 artists competed for 4 spots in the final. Based on 2 round-voting, the jury and the audience selected 4 finalists:

The grand final will be held on Wednesday, January 222nd at 20:30 CET.
The winner of “The Rising Star For Eurovision 2025” (“Hakohav Haba La’Eurovision 2025″) will represent Israel in Eurovision 2025!

Israel’s Song Selection For Eurovision 2025
- The submission window opened on December 30th and will close on the 2nd of February 2025.
- The song will be selected by a professional committee. The decision will be made around the end of February 2025.
- The professional committee will consist of 7 members
- The selection will include 2 phases. Between 3 and 5 songs will qualify for the second phase, wher the jury will vote again.
- The song premiere will take place at the beginning of March 2025, in a special show in Kan
- Kan and Keshet 12 have approached around 120 known composers and songwriters, inviting them to submit a song..
- Each songwriter/composer can submit up to 3 different songs.
- For each submission, all writers must hold Israeli citizenship, with an exception of one.
- The winner of “The Rising Star For Euorvision 2025″ will also be allowed to submit a song.
- There are no language restrictions, but each song must include at least 2 lines in Hebrew

Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th and 17th of May 2025
