Switzerland: Get to Know The Eurovision 2025 Hosts

SRG SSR revealed today another milestone on the way to the 69th Eurovision Song Contest!
During a special live press conference, the hosts of this years’ Eurovision have been revealed:

Hazel Brugger, Michelle Hunziker and Sandra Studer will host the Eurovision 2025 shows.

Michelle Hunziker

Michelle Hunziker is a Swiss-Italian television presenter and former model. She is 47 years old.
In 2018, she was one of the “Sanremo Festival” hosts. Throughout her career, she hosted tens of shows on Swiss TV, as well playing in movies.

Hazel Brugger

Allison Hazel Brugger is a Swiss-American slam poet, comedian, cabaret artist, and television presenter. She is 31 years old.
Between 2014 and 2017, she wrote a column for the Swiss magazine “Das Magazin”.
In 2019, she started to host her show on YouTube: “Deutschland Was Geht”. She was also awarded for best comedian in the country.

Sandra Studer

Sandra Studer is a 55-year-old Swiss singer, presenter and actress. She started her career in 1991 as Switzerland‘s representative for Eurovision 1991.
Back then, she finished in the 5th place in the final:

 Hazel Brugger and Sandra Studer will host both the semi-final and the final.

Mélanie Freymond and Sven Epiney will be presenting the pre-shows and public viewing in the Arena plus

This year, the host country will also organize a pre-show in the Arena Plus. There we will be able to enjoy the performances of:

  1. Baby Lasagna (Croatia, Eurovision 2024)
  2. Anna Rossinelli (Switerland, Eurovision 2011)
  3. DJ Antoine

A total of 38 countries will compete in Basel: the 37 participating countries from Eurovision 2024, and Montenegro.

Next week, on Tuesday, we will be able to watch the sem-final allocation draw, where we will find out which country performs/votes in which semi-final and half of the show!

Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th and 17th of May 2025
