We are about to enjoy an exciting night (or Super Saturday) of national selection for Eurovision 2025. 7 countries will broadcast live shows tonight: Ukraine, Latvia, Malta, and Finland will select their entries for Basel, while Sweden, Lithuania, and Iceland will broadcast the semi-finals of their national selections.

- Timur Miroshnychenko, Masha Efrosinina & Vasyl Baidak will host the show.
- The results will be based on public and jury votes.
- The jury members:
- Jamala – 35.28% (The singer won Eurovision 2016)
- Sergey Tancinets – 20.24% (The lead singer of the rock band “Bez Obmezhen“)
- Kateryna Pavlenko – 11.84% (The lead singer of Go_A, who represented Ukraine in Eurovision 2020-2021)
- The jury and the public votes will be converted to 1-10 points.
- The highest-ranked song will win the selection (in case of tie, the public vote will determine the winner)

- The artists who finish in the 4th, 5th, and 6th place (in each semi-final) will be eliminated.
- At the end of the 5th semi-final,
- The highest-scoring 3rd-place song (out of a possible 5) will get a ticket to the final
- The remaining 4 artists will face additional voting rounds. The winner will qualify for the final.

The Format

- Benedikt Valsson, Guðrún Dís Emilsdóttir and Fannar Sveinsso will host the shows.
- The national selection will feature 3 shows:
- Semi-Final 1: Saturday, February 8th 2025
- Semi-Final 2: Saturday, February 15th 2025
- Grand Final: Saturday, February 22nd 2025
- The shows will be held in RVK Studios in Gufunes.
- 5 artists will perform in each semi-final, 3 of them will qualify (based on 100% public vote)
- In the semi-finals, all artists will perform their songs in Icelandic.
- 6 artists will compete in the final. The grand final results will be determined by one round only, composed of a 50% jury vote (featuring 7 international members) and a 50% public vote.
- The main changes compared to previous years are:
- No wildcards will be given to one of the semi-final non-qualifiers
- The number of finalists increased from 5 to 6
- The “super-final” has been cancelled.
- Thomas Benstem and Selma Björnsdóttir will be the artistic directors of the contest.
Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th, and 17th of May 2025
