Switzerland: The Eurovision 2025 Entry Will Be Released On March 10

Swiss broadcaster SRG SSR selected an artist and an entry for Eurovision 2025 via an internal selection. The country used the same process in 2019.

Swiss outlet Swiss info reports that a total of 431 songs have been submitted for Eurovision 2025 selection. The submission window opened on August 8th and closed on August 22nd.
In 2024, the Swiss broadcaster received around 420 songs .

Now, it has finally been revealed that the Swiss artist and the Swiss entry will be revealed on March 10th, 2025.

Swiss Selection for Eurovision 2025 – The Regulation

  1. The song was selected via multiple rounds of selection, involving national viewers, international viewers, and 25 international expert jury members (who have been involved in Eurovision in the past).
  2. The shortlisted acts performed the songs live in front of the expert jury
  3. SRG SSR looked for a modern, striking song that complies with international appeal.

Will we get a female act as the Swiss artist for the first time since 2016?

Switzerland won Eurovision 2024 and, therefore, has already secured its place in the Eurovision 2025 final.
Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th, and 17th of May 2025.
