Malta: The Eurovision 2025 Entry To Undergo Changes Due to EBU’s Restrictions

At the beginning of February 2025, Malta held its national selection for Eurovision 2025 – “MESC 2025”.
The winner of the national final was Miriana Conte with the song “Kant” (Eng: Singing)

However, it seems that Malta will struggle to serve Kant in Basel.
Miriana Conte shared the following post through her social media. According to her, while the filming of the video clip is underway, the EBU has restricted the use of the word “Kant” in the Maltese entry for Eurovision 2025.
Malta will have to revamp the song, which will probably result in changing the title as well.

The Maltese team behind the song will have a challenging schedule to make the changes, as the deadline to submit the Eurovision 2025 entries is just behind the corner.

What will Malta serve in Basel? Will Miriana manage to maintain the iconic message via different lyrics?

At the Eurovision 2025, Malta was drawn to compete in the second half of semi-final 2.

Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland, on the 13th, 15th, and 17th of May 2025
